Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Dean’s Brutality Continues – Supernatural – Season 10 Episode 3 – “Soul Survivor”
We’re on the tenth season of Supernatural and a common theme remains-Sam and Dean fighting. We’ve seen Sam go all dark-side, but it’s a little newer for Dean, whose never been this much of a jerk. On tonight’s episode, we can expect Dean’s meanness to continue as the fight for his humanity starts.
Okay, so this episode starts off letting us know that Dean is some new level of demon-freak, surprising even himself. The two argue, neither backing down. Sam is going to do the exorcism he did on on Crowley…at least that’s the plan. But Dean, this new Dean, knows how to get into Sam’s head without holding back; he causes Sam to recall some of the things he did to find Crowley and Dean. Sam kinda pulled out his own dark side, too. To sum it up: they both have blood on their hands.
Meanwhile, Crowley is obtaining information about Castiel, finding out about the failing grace. We know the two have worked, disastrously, together in the past. Crowley is thinking of Dean, as well. Crowley is also on a killing, vengeful spree.
I have to say, we hear a lot of the same old Sam/Dean sources of conflict…the tables turned a little, maybe but same old arguments. For example, their mother, their father, being each other’s keepers. We’ve heard it all. Sam stays strong, though, and continues to dose Dean with human blood, even though it looks as though it hurting Dean.
On their way to help Sam, Castiel and Hannah find themselves under attack by a very angry angel. As Cas is beaten, bloody and on the ground, Crowley shows up. I can’t help but love that King of Hell. He rescues Hannah, kills the angel and takes her grace.
Sam is ready to face Dean once again; until he walks into the room to find Dean gone. Honestly, this can’t be good…I’m thinking: will Cas show up to help, all graced up? I would LOVE that!
The fans are getting their wish: Castiel is full-on graced and Crowley didn’t even try to deal to help out. The reality is that Crowley knows Dean needs stopped and is powerful; Castiel needs to be strong.
An escaped Dean is not so much escaping as hunting Sam down; he is being very creepy…I’m seriously feeling like the Shining here. Sam puts the place in lock down, but finds himself on the run. Come on Castiel! And there he is, with those angel-blue eyes, glowing…being Cas…grabbing Dean from behind, telling him, “It’s over.” Truly an awesome moment.
Cas and Sam put Dean back in the chair, fill him up with some more blood and wait. Dean wakes up, Sam throws holy water in Dean’s face and there’s no reaction. Sam welcomes Dean back, Cas looks proud and Dean doesn’t look as happy as he should. Me? I’m thinking: that was way too easy.
The end of the episode has Cas telling Sam that even though Dean is no longer a demon, he still has the mark of Cain. Dean truly seems back to being human. And a mysterious new red-headed woman is introduced.
