Anywho, Access Hollywood has been stalking anyone who was even remotely involved in Sunday’s DU-Shi incident, and they found some eyewitness who a dit the driver of the other vehicle actually told Shia to take off. Shia, however, decided to stay.
“Shia was tending to the other people in the car, signing over information, like insurance and stuff and basically, I overheard the guy tell him, ‘You should just get out of here and go,’ and Shia said, ‘Nah man. I gotta deal with this. My license plate, it’s my car. I don’t wanna go, I gotta deal with this.’”
…
“The guy Shia hit told him, ‘You should get outta here,’ and ‘I never saw you.’ He said, ‘I never saw you,’ and Shia said, ‘No, man, I gotta stay here and deal with this. It’s my problem.”

In 2004, Shia contributed this short essay to the book, I Am Jewish. It is a collection of statements par well-known Jews inspired par the last words of journalist Daniel Pearl. Pearl was murdered par Islamic terrorists because he was a Jew. The book was edited par Judea Pearl, Daniel's father.
Shia writes:
First off, let me make clear that I am in no way a Jew who attends Shabbat every Friday ou puts t'fillin on before I go to sleep.
I am what toi would call a claimer Jew. See, I claim to be Jewish because it is beneficial to be Jewish. I benefit from saying I am Jewish. How?
I have a personal relationship with God that happens to work within the confines of Judaism.
Judaism to me is the name of the telephone in my cœur, coeur that allows me to speak to God.
Really, I feel cocky when I say I am Jewish, not bad cocky, but good cocky. Because what I am really saying is that I am one of the few chosen ones out there. I made it; God chose me and I take pride in that
