Unfortunately, it was just a false alarm, Scotty McCreery is not working on a holiday album quite yet! Instead, the country singer will be joining fellow Idol alums Lauren Alaina and Kellie Pickler in taping the 'CMA Country Christmas Special' on November 10th!

The two-hour télévision special, hosted par Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, will air at 8:00 Eastern Time on ABC on December 1, 2011!

Other scheduled performers are Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill and Amy Grant, Little Big Town, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, and Brian Setzer who will be performing Christmas songs and 'sharing personal holiday traditions'.

Tickets for the show, which is being taped a few weeks prior to the televised event, are $25 for general admission upper level seating and $50 for general admission club level. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000.

Promotion for Scotty McCreery's debut album "Clear As Day", which will be released suivant Tuesday (Oct. 4), will be in full balançoire, swing suivant week as the season 10 Idol winner makes several TV appearances!

Scotty puts songs through the "Mama Crying Test"

Scotty McCreery is finishing his ‘American Idols Live’ tour later this mois as he preps to release his debut CD ‘Clear As Day’ on October 4th.

Scotty explains that the album will feature some “Rockin songs where they will be loud and upbeat and then some intimate songs…some of them will make toi cry.” Scotty also explains that one factor in deciding a few of the songs were helped par his Mom’s reaction.

“Mama cried on a couple of them so we told all the guys to label them, when they sent me songs and demos I would email them back and say….Well it passed the Mama crying test so it must be a good one.”

Scotty is hoping that Mama knows hit songs as he expresses that he hopes the feeling becomes mutual to the fans.

“Hopefully it will have the same effect on toi guys out there.”

Scotty and the other Idol finalist will complete the ‘Idols Live Tour’ on September 20th with a montrer in Quezon City, Philippines.

Keith Urban Pitches Song for "Clear As Day"

In a récent interview with the Boston Globe, Scotty McCreery reveals that there is "technically going to be one cover" that makes its way onto his debut album, Clear As Day, which is set to be released in October.

Scotty was kind enough to share that one already populaire country étoile, star may be playing guitare on a track:

"It’s going to be all originals. There’s technically going to be one cover. Keith Urban pitched a song my way, and it’s one he did way back when he was part of the band called the Ranch. He’s on tour right now so we don’t know, but he a dit he might play guitare on the track."...

Scotty's Idol sales

Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina lead the American Idol pack in sales this week, and Friday's Good Morning America appearance should only help their sales going forward. Scotty's Walmart EP sold 17,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, bringing its total to 119,000. This season's haut, retour au début finishers were two of the six Idols in this week's Billboard 200.

It's been a long journey since last an when I auditioned for American Idol, and you've been with me every step of the way. That's why I wanted toi to be the first to know the details of my debut album. After all of the hard work over the last year, I am excited to tell toi that my album, Clear As Day, will be released on Oct. 4 on Mercury Nashville/19 Recordings/Interscope.

We've been working hard on this album not only in Nashville, but in studios across the country because I've been on the Idol tour. We're putting what I believe are the best songs we could find on it and I really hope everyone...

Scotty Talks About His Debut Album

Millions of fans are anxiously awaiting the first album from Scotty McCreery, and the 'American Idol' winner is working tirelessly to give them just what they want to hear.

McCreery sang a verse from "Your Man" par Josh Turner at the American Idol auditions in Milwaukee. The audition aired Wednesday night on FOX8.

McCreery received high praise from the judges, including what might be the strangest thing we've heard from Steven Tyler this year.

Scotty McCreery releases a new song today called “The Trouble With Girls,” which is the seconde single from his much-anticipated debut album, Clear As Day, due Oct. 4.

“It’s a really sweet song,” Scotty says. “I played it for my sister and I said, ‘Would toi like to hear what’s a dit in this song?’ She said, ‘I would l’amour to have a guy say some of this stuff to me.’

“It’s talking about how great they are and it’s tough for the guy to handle because he just loves it. It has a nice twist to it. It’s like the songwriters wrote it just for me.”

American Idol champ Scotty McCreery recently revealed that he'd be covering a Keith Urban song on his new album, but didn't say which one. Until now.
"That's been the big mystery," Scotty acknowledges to CountryWeekly.com. “‘What song is Scotty singing?’”

In 1997, pre-solo success, Keith was a member of trio The Ranch; the band released the single “Walkin’ the Country,” which reached No. 50 on the Billboard country singles chart. Now, Scotty will include the song on his upcoming debut album, Clear as Day, which will be released Oct. 4.

Keith gave the song to Scotty with his blessing....

It cannot simply be a Christmas single as he says "a bunch of songs" that we'll be hearing! What do toi think?

Clear As jour Album Sales Prediction

Idol Winner McCreery Bows with nearly 200k, #1 Debut, as Rodney Atkins, Feist, Jack's Mannequin Score haut, retour au début 10 Bows

Scotty McCreery has proven a worthy American Idol winner. Celebrating his 18th birthday last Sunday (10/9), the good ole young boy from a small town in North Carolina debuts at #1 as his first studio effort, Mercury Nashville/19/Interscope’s Clear as Day, sells 198k in its first week.

That’s the most for an American Idol winner since David Cook’s debut sold 280k in Nov. 2008, and the first champ to bow at #1 with his initial release since seconde season champ Ruben Studdard’s Soulful topped the chart in 2003.
