I always fan people back!

As soon as I see they fan me, I immediately fan 'em right back

I want to fan people but then I will have to fan like more than 300 people:///

I used to always do it, but like simrananime said, if I did that I'd have way too many people to add and I'm too lazy lol. Like the sheer number of people who fanned me when fanpop was at its prime was overwhelming.

These days I like to get to know people before adding them because I've had serveral instnaces where I'd fan people only to have them use my wall as a billboard ("join my club!!!!"), harass me, or they turned out to be trolls. So now I wait until I have a few conversations with a person. Even if we have lots of clubs in common, because I've added people with similar interests only to have them turn around and be a jerk so I don't trust like that anymore...

I do not have that overwhelming number problem so I add back anyone the moment they have done the same for me. I see it as a good gesture. A sign of good will between fellow Fans. Can't say that I care if we'll grow close / hold conversations with said person. Fanpop has always felt different from other Social Networks like Facebook where acceptance to your Profile is a more private matter. People just appear on your Fan List. Nothing more, nothing less. I kinda see this more as a Game honestly. Growing my Collection of Fans and returning the favor to them lmao. If an issue turns up with a Member, I simply unfan them. That being said, I never had that problem so far !!!!

I personally find it to be common courtesy. It also pleases my OCD when my number of fans equates to my number of users I have fanned.
