I just hope people on this site respect my feelings

If I care about someone then I`ll also care about their feelings and of course will respect them.

However, it really depends. After all, I am more than willing to admit that I have not slipped. I have sometimes put my own feelings above my friends or family. I'm just the type that it really isn't hard to push me in an argument and get total apathy in response. That is coupled with how shy I am and my hatred of confrontation makes it so it is just easier for me to not care. To defer to them. To let them win and ignore my own issues because why bother? Why would they care? What's the point of dragging this out if all it is going to do is take up time I could be spending doing other things that I actually enjoy? Why should I try to help them if they cannot even be bothered to help me?

My family, though I love them and will do anything for even if it hurts me, have pushed me so far that I've completely cut them out of my heart. The disconnect from caring about someone but also NOT caring about them is frankly a little disturbing.

It sucks that I'm so overemotional so it is kind of easy to get me to that point, but it's also good that I'm so overemotional because it means the level of cruelty I would have to receive to do it is so massive that it gives a nice safety net.

Doesn't mean I'm not gonna always be terrified I would get pushed to that point tho.
