I was getting ready for High school. I was in the 12th grade. My dad was actually watching the news at the time and I remember seeing the plane crashing into one of the trade towers but I thought nothing of it until I got to school. toi see, I live in Canada, but yet it was all anyone could talk about. My cousin was even supposed to goto New York that jour but her flight had been delayed and I am glad for that.

I don't remember much, except that that night when my dad got accueil he wouldn't let me watch my sing-a-long video that I would routinely watch every evening, and he was demanding that I be quiet while he was staring at the news on the screen. What was on the screen is still pretty haunting to me, all that smoke coming out of the Twin Towers and a woman yelling "Oh my God!" over and over. :/

I was getting ready to go to school (I was ten, and in fifth grade), and my stepdad called my mom and told her to turn on the TV. When I got to school, that's all anyone could talk about.

(I still didn't really understand until the Ferguson protests, when I spent a lot of time crying over innocent dead kids)

In the backseat of my mom's car on my way to school. We had been listening to the radio when they interrupted with breaking news. Only the first plane had hit at that point, so the people on our local station were reporting and wondering if there was a plane malfunction, if the weather was bad, etc. I was already in school par the time the 2nd plane hit and it wasn't until I got accueil from school that jour that I realized that it was a terrorist attack. Our teachers hadn't told us (we were only in 4th grade and they didn't want to freak us out). I just remember how strange things felt that day, even without knowing. I don't even know how the teachers managed to keep calm that day.
