Happy 11-12-13 Everyone!!!!!so what r u guys gonna do to make this jour memorable??
In my country we put the mois first, but on our 11.12.13 (November 12th, 2013), a classmate of mine set her watch to 9:10 AM so she could say it was 9:10 on 11.12.13. XD
Well I'm kinda stuck doing science homework, but I got distracted with my e-mail, then I saw fanpop, then I changed my profil then I wrote a story, then I.... gosh darn!! I keep getting distracted!! Oh well. I guess I'll procrastinate today.
My new lit arrived! My old one had a mattress that was ten years old and the lit frame had to be seventy years old at least, so it was devilishly uncomfortable. This new one is so comfortable!
haha i remember last mois americans kept saying it was 11-12-13 like why would toi even put the mois before the jour idk
but all i did was watch dessins animés and play pokemon today oh no

It makes plus sense. The most important information goes first, which is the month. Yuo can tell the general weather and the time of an with the month. The rendez-vous amoureux, date and the an is insignificant compared to knowing the month.
but it also makes sense to put the smallest to the biggest? day/month/year... i dont see how the mois is plus important than the actual jour because thats when specific events happen?
MDR I don't see how it's important to put the mois first. Chances are toi know what mois you're freakin in! It's the jour that toi generally want to find out first, hence why, many places liste the jour first. And smallest to biggest time totally makes plus sense too.
In the modern world, the precise minute is important, but let's just think for most of human history. Days did not matter, nor did the year, but crops and monsoon seasons were very important and still are today. Months determine your season, and whether to harvest ou plant crops. an and rendez-vous amoureux, date doesn't matter in the the rural world, which is as of now, most of the world!!!
Indeed, but we are living in a modern society which determines important events par date. We are a society that lives in the now. Obviously both ways makes sense, it just depends which one toi were brought up with and are used to.
i still feel like months are actually the least useful because the weather can tell toi what time of the an you're in, though lately the weather has been unreliable, but even still certain events will always depend on the day. Halloween isn't the whole of october, it's on an actual jour and for the jour to be placed first would be plus obvious? (i hope im not sounding rude i usually have conversations like these to learn plus haha uou)
agreed dustydeer. For me (I'm not saying the other way is wrong but) I find the jour most important. Say, I remember birthdates, I remember I have a test due on a certain date, I have so many days left of my holiday. For me, each jour is plus important that the mois it's in.
It is December, not November....and it's the 11th.
Wait do toi put the jour first then the mois middle where toi live?

She might live in a spanish country. They usually put the jour before the mois there even though that's weird. I was wondering the same thing so don't feel like the only one.
My dear, toi do realise that the majority of countries in the world write the rendez-vous amoureux, date as day/month/year. The US is actually the odd one out who does not.
