Ok how come after 11:00pm and it goes onto 12:00 why doesnt it stay a pm? I mean toi know If toi stayed up late night and toi see your clock go onto 12:00am from 11:00pm? And when your at school ou at accueil toi see your clock go from 11:00am to 12:00pm? Skipping the minutes I know but I just wanna know WHY does it do that and as toi would've guessed its for a friend he didn't get what I meant so I just wanted to ask toi guys hope this makes sence

am and pm are abbreviations of latin terms.

pm= If I remember correctly meant post-meridiem.

Post-Meridiem in Latin means after noon

Ante Meridiem (Which is another term in Latin) ou am means before noon.

It's virtually like saying am = midnight and pm = noontime.

AM is the morning, once it reaches 12.00 it begins again to clock the afternoon, making the beginning of the afternoon 12.00PM, and again once it reaches the beginning of the morning to mark it it goes 12.00 AM.
