Guy trouble!

so there is this really hot guy and I saw him somewhere and then I asked him on Facebook if he was there and he a dit 'yeah why ?' and i just a dit 'oh my friend thought she knew you' and no one a dit anything after that. He is Friends with my friend and he told her that i was randomly talking to him and he thinks I'm weird. What can I do ou say to make sure he doesn't think I'm weird. Also sorry, I have bad spelling and grammar

It's kinda irritating when girls are all jittery and over-excited. Its kinda unattractive. Its fine a little bit, toi know, so they don't appear shy and weird, but just don't take it too far.
