Nougat 1st came from france in a little town called Montélimar but it is a dit that Greece tried to steal the idea of France and it worked for about 30 years until a Greek's wife [who was French] made it for him and he asked her "how do toi know how to make that i never showed you" and she replied "i learned this from France in my accueil country" Greece then realized it was France who invented it and sincerely apologized.
