I strongly dislike poser emos (the ones cutting themself,crying and saying my life sucks and I should just die!). True emos on the other hand...I don't mind! emo is just short for emotional (expresses emotions a lot)or follows the emo way of dressing style. I can be really sensitive (depends),but I wouldn't call myself emo. I'm plus of a gamer/naturally entergetic/chocoholic!

To answer your question, no, I don't hate emos. And no one can really say that they hate ALL emos because they're all different people. Fair enough if toi don't like their style, ou musique etc. but saying stuff like: "They're losers that cut themselves for attention" is unfair because it's mostly untrue. Not all emos do that and it's extremely judgmental to say that. People shouldn't be branded like that, and lets face it's only really the "poser" emos that DO cut themselves that cause stereotypes like that to start. And another thing, not all emos are depressed ou whatever all of the time, a bunch of my Friends are emo and they're all really happy. Sure they have their depressing moods but, doesn't everyone get sad every once in a while?

I think that emos tend to be emotionally unstable people who are self-conscious, so they feel the need to label thamselves because it makes them feel secure.

I think, and always have thought, that the same thing applies to almost every "subculture", like Goths, Jocks, Punks, etc.

I'm not putting emos down - I actually have pretty much all of the stereotypical "emo characteristics" eg, shyness and sensitivity - I'm just trying to express my view of emos.

I'm genuinely sorry if this ofeends anyone....and I'm sorry that it's so long!! XD

In fact, no, I don't. I'm not emo actually. I used to be in that state of life I felt I was. I just don't like the people who claim they are when they obviously are not. Just being upset almost most of the time doesn't make toi emo -_-
