They just don't shut up! Why?! Why do they 'need' the approval of others so badly? WHY?!

toi are somewhat right with what you've said, but i think it gives them a little confidence boost and makes them feel good about themself if someone says "you're really pretty", I know i'm really flattered when someone tells me that :]

I totally agree with you, it irritates me so much when people do this!!!
Why do they feel the need to seek validation from complete strangers??
Not to mention the obvious security risks - how many psychos are there with access to the internet these days?!
But a lot of the time I think they are just fishing for compliments, toi know, deliberately trying to initiate a positive reaction from others.
I'm sorry if I sound very harsh and judgemental, I know a lot of people with these traits and after a whil it really gets to you. :/

Now, I never posté a question asking if I'm pretty along with a picture of myself. But if I was able to download pictures I've taken onto Fanpop, I would.

Now I can only speak for myself, so here's why I would do it;
I'm very self-conscious of myself. Seriously, I am. If it's not my face that's bothering me, it's my hair. If it's not my hair, it's my weight. If not my weight, it's my toes etc. toi get what I mean?

Some people (without me asking them) call me pretty, others say the opposite. :(

I just want to know for sure if I am at least average.

So I'd ask others :)

It may be annoying to some, but I personally don't think so. I'm glad to make people feel better about themselves, especially when there's not a thing wrong with thier looks from how I see it.

But I guess it's based on different opinions toi and I have. :)

Thats what i was thinking, the plus times girls like that post pictures of themselves they are going to be harrased par perverts.

Seriously. I know toi guys want the boost in confidence, but,,, why do toi need other approval?
