In the world of secret business nothing is safe. One wrong move and your entire world could crumble, maybe even taking the rest of the world with you. Walking a very fine line you must choose which side your on. Those trying to take it down or , those keeping it together.
Lately a major cooperation has taking a surprising leap in power. They claim to be working towards creating a 'perfect' world. It sounds like a dream, but are there darker motives behind it?

You can be an agent on either side, one of the big dogs or an ordinary citizen caught up in this crazy mess.

You can make a bio if you wish.

Rules
1.No god modding
2.No one liners
3.Sex and relationships are allowed, just nothing graphic.
4.no killing off another person's character without their permission.

A quiet young man walked the quiet streets of downtown. Hardly in his mid twenties he was more of the serious lone wolf type, he had no friends, but rather preferred it that way. In his eyes relationships were only a burden, nothing more than extra weight that did nobody any good, especially one in his line of work.

(Sounds great.)
A young woman sat at a table outside of a small cafe. Her dark brown curls tossing over in the wind as the crowded city buzzed around her. She tapped her black stilettos on the pavement, then checked her watch.
It was obvious she was waiting for someone, or some thing . Her sharp hazel eyes scanned the crowd, then a faint buzzing came from the cellphone in her hand. She tore her eyes away from the crowd and looked down at the phone and pushed Enter before bringing the phone to her ear.
"How rude to keep a woman waiting." Her crimson lips curled into a smirk.
"I didn't think you would come." The voice said from the other end.
"Of course I did. You requested me. Now why don't you confront me in person?" She asked, her eyes scanning the crowd again.
"You know how it is."
"Ahh, yes. A Fat Cat like you can't be seen out in public. Not with everyone wanting you dead." She said, her voice smooth. "Now, enough of getting to know each other. We'll have time for that later. Lets talk business." She leaned back in her seat and crossed her legs.
"Straight to the point are we, Johanna?"
She smirked.
"Now..." She began.

"J-John...Johnathan!" A husky man sporting a newsboy cap a pair of torn blue jeans and dirty old t-shirt came running after him. "Hey!Wait up!"
Johnathan rolled his eyes annoyed and turned to face him. "What do you want?" He had to wait for the man to catch his breath before getting a reply.
"Don't you want the latest issue of that magazine you asked about?" He held up a copy of the National Enquirer. "I honestly have no idea why you read this thing. All it is is a bunch of made up garbage."
"For the entertainment value..."He snatched it from him and began reading it immediately. "How much do I owe you?"
"For my absolute favorite customer, free."
"Flattery will get you nowhere. I'll pay you tomorrow." Turning away he made his way down to the little cafe at the end of the street.
"Yeesh, You could learn to accept a nice gesture once in a while! And smile too!" The man yelled after him and adjusted his hat before leaving in a huff.

"You better not let me down."
Johanna laughed slightly. " Don't worry your big expensive head, this will all be taken care of. Just leave it to me." With that she pulled the phone from her ear and clicked End .
She uncrossed her legs and stood up, dropping the phone in the pocket of her dark wool trench coat, she walked off into the crowd of people.

"You were right, she played right into our trap." The old man said, turning to face the young man that stood in front of his desk. "Soon one of the worlds best agents will be dead, and we can continue our effort to ruin this big business without about her getting in the way."
The young man smiled. "What did I tell you, father? I had it all planned out, the location she is heading to right now is being watched by our snipers, they are waiting her arrival."
The old man grinned. "Soon this game will come to an end. I can already see it."

"Colette, get these drinks out there now! Or in your damn language, tout de suite!" Large and frankly, hairy, Mark James nearly threw a tray out from behind the bar at a petite waitress. Said woman grumbled and took the tray with caution, working through the regulars and newbies at the bar. It was always the same group, with not necessarily the same people. The normal drunks who sat at the bar drinking away their lives, the women who pretend to be young wearing tight tight clothing looking for hookups, and the bikers who like to look tough to pick up said leather wearing women. Oh yes....she loooved her job...
She worked everyday and night except fridays and Sundays, earning her pay and boarding at the room literally above the bar, so technically she really never was away from the bar. Oh well. It was her life, sucky it may be, Colette, was somewhat happy with it.

The cell-phone in her pocket begun to buzz, she bit her bottom lip, sweat appeared on her forehead, she press Answer.
"Hey, Fiorella! Havent heard from you for a while, what have you been up to." The young male voice dropped the huge stone from her throat.
"Nothing, Ben." She wasnt going to spill everything to her big mouth brother. "Tell mom im fine, just have been busy at work, you know, editing and shit."
There was giggling from the other side, of course, his 30th girlfriend. "Yeah, sure, shes worried sick. Anyway, its good to hear you again, oops, appointment, bye." she hung up, sighing. How am i suppose to live like this... she shook her head slowly and walked down the street.

(Yay! More people!)

The young man sat down in a leather chair in front of his father.
"Maxwell, I-" Suddenly a large shatter erupted and bullet pierced through the old man, cutting him off.
Maxwell jumped up in shock. "Father!" He called and rushed over to the old man, but it was to late. He was dead. A faint buzzing came from the old man's suit pocket. Maxwell reached took the phone out and answered it.
"A for Effort." A smooth feminine voice said from the other line. "But the over all quality was quite sloppy."
Maxwell said nothing.
"Look up."
Maxwell looked up through the office window to see a woman standing on the edge on the building across the street, a sniper crouched next to her.
"Come in find me." The voice cooed.
Then the call went dead.
Maxwell looked down at his father, holding back tears he walked to the front of the large office, dialing a number.
"Find Johanna Marshall, and kill her." Maxwell ordered.

Johanna dropped her phone into her coat pocket. "Nice work, Natalia. We must go now though, they'll be after us."
Natalia nodded, and started hastily but skillfully packing up her gun. Johanna stepped back onto the roof and started walking back to the door. Natalia followed.

Fiorella sat down on the pavement outside the huge glass building, this whole thing was too much for her to handle. a few days ago she discovered that her father was a agent or spy or whatever, and yesterday he was found dead in the amusement park, they lift a note saying they are coming to get his whole family, and now the large package was dumped onto her, she was responsible to keep her family safe, but how?
"oh Maria, ohly if you were here." her nose wrinkled and tears filled her vision, she sobbed quietly, people walking pass her without asking why she was crying, they were too scared to talk to strangers. a world full of betray and lies. she swallowed.

He took a seat at the table in the farthest corner, propping his legs up on it without a care for manners. It was the best place to get a good view of one of the major buildings owned by one of the biggest co-operations in the world. His phone buzzed in his pocket. "Hello."
"Did you make it safely?"
"Would I be talking to you if I didn't?" He replied rather harshly.
"I see...still a ray of sunshine aren't we? Now, remember, you're only there for a little recon."
"I know, I know. Keep an eye on the place for anything suspicious." Putting on the sunglasses they'd given him he pushed the little button on the side to get a more detailed view of the place. "It's almost too easy."
"That's all fine and dandy, but please try and keep out of trouble. I know how you-"
"I'll be fine. I know what I'm doing and if you'll excuse me I'd really like to get back to that now as well." Without another word he snapped the phone shut.

Johanna and Natalia walked through the door of the hotel, Johanna walking through the crowd with Natalia following close behind. Natalia was barely in her twenties, a few years younger than Johanna. She was basically Johanna's body guard, servant, and assistant all rolled into one. Natalia didn't mind it, she was trained for this sort of thing. She was renegade, trained to kill for powerful gang in her home country that she betrayed when she was only 19. Johanna picked her off the streets of New York City and took her in as her bodyguard, and thats been her life for now.

"What would you like cheri?" Colette's peppy accented voice popped up, almost cautiously as she approached the man, who so rudely may she add, so lazily threw his legs up on the table, "Our specials today are cranberry cocktails, strawberry daquiri." She offered, pulling her pad and a tiny pen from her apron around her waist. Stereotyping she knew was wrong, but if this guy acted like most she saw, she braced herself for assholishness from him.

"Huh?" Johnathan was so wrapped up in his paper that he hadn't seen her approaching, but once she spoke he immediately turned his head to face her. He put the paper down and looked up at her through the top of his sunglasses. " I'll just have an iced tea with lemon." There was absolutely no smile on his face, but at least he wasn't being rude.

Maxwell's father was taken away as he stood near the window starring at the roof of the building were that woman had stood. Anger brewed in her chest, hiding the grief that was stabbing its way into his heart.
"Maxwell, you know what this means right?" A voice said.
He turned around to see one of his father's old business partners. "What?" Maxwell asked.
"Your the big dog now. You own all of this." The man said, folding his hands.
"My father is-is dead and all you can say to me is that I must take his place!?" Maxwell exploded.
The man didn't move. "Your father was a great man, but you can not sit and sulk. This business needs a leader, it needs to continue its fight against the big business your father spent his life trying to tear down."
Maxwell rubbed his eyes, pushing his glasses over his hands. "You're right." He said, straightening his classes. "But, first. I want this Johanna dead. Along with her little sidekick." With that, Maxwell walked past the man into the elevator and hit the 1 button. The man shook his head as the doors closed, and walked to the window.

"A...alright.." she wrote it down, seemingly surprised he didn't ask for alcohol, it was a bar which was surprising, and that he didn't cock an attitude. Flipping a stray curl away, she bounced off, going to fetch the drink while squeezing past a group of burly men.
When she returned, she had issues with the tray and balancing another tray filled with food. "It will make it...it will...eep!" The tray of food went flying from her grip, as did the man's tea which splattered across the table top," Oh non .... pas encore!"

Maxwell walked out of the tall, glass building and walked down the street. He needed a drink really bad. He ducked into a smoky bar and sat at the counter. He really stuck out like a sore thumb. His expensive gray suit was quite different from the other's torn shirts and leather jackets. A woman walked up to him. She has fried blond hair, and was wearing a white dress with dangerously high-heels. "What brings you here, Mr. Suit and Tie?" She laughed. Maxwell ignored her, his head down. "Talk to me sweetie." She said, rubbing his shoulder. Maxwell turned to face her. "Get. Your hands. Off of me..." He said.
"Don't have to be an asshole." The woman said, and walked away with a disgusted face. Maxwell turned back around and sighed, rubbing his eyes.

Johanna and Natalia were in a hotel room not to far away. "I can't leave this room, they'll be looking for me." Johanna said, now changed into a silky robe. "But I need you to go out and get a newspaper down the street."
Natalia nodded. "Will do, Johanna." Her voice still had her accent. Natalia loaded two hand-guns and put them in her belt before pulling on a long dark coat.
"Don't be long!" Johanna called as Natalia left.

There it was..."I-I'm sorry sir...I was trying to balance too much a-at one time..forgive me, I'll get you a towel.." she apologized quietly, pushing up from the floor, her hair drenched with the remnants of the other drinks and grease and condiments from the food stained her clothing. She learned not to cower from anger anymore, she was used to it from the regular patrons to the bar. Pulling a long towel from her apron, she made it to her feet and set about cleaning up, handing him a fresh towel.
il y a plus d’un an Axel1313 said…
Whipping the towel out of her hand he set to wiping himself off. You could almost feel the frustration coming off of him. Surprisingly he managed to not completely snap at her. "It's fine. Colette managed a small nod while kneeling down to get the broken glass cleaned up. She rose to her feet, but smacked her head on the bottom of the table when the same large hairy man growled and approached them, "Colette, what the hell have I told you? Iyou're taking more than one tray, be careful dammit!" He shoved a broom and pan down at her on the floor and just about snarled at her before turning his attention to Johnathan, "Really sorry sir, she's foreign and a clutz, the restrooms are in the back if you need to get cleaned up."

"Non...no..I got it..." Colette said quietly, brushing his hands away while grabbing for the broom and pan, sliding on her knees to scoop up the glass. She was truly used to it, but honestly just put up with it since she couldn't find another job and since she lived above the place, it wouldn't do much good to quit and lose her home either. Her boss glared at the both of them, "Well I don't want to see another spill girl, I mean that, or I'll be looking for a new waitress." He warned before stomping away, redfaced and angry.

She apologized again, her eyes glued to the ground as she went to dump the glass into a trash bin and went back to the bar for a fresh drink.

"I guess casual clothes is out of the question today.." He headed to the restroom to make a quick change of clothes. Stripping off the now stained ones and replacing it with a suave suit. Colette had brought a fresh tea back out to his table, leaving it on the taboe top while shefinished wiping up the mess on the floor. While she lived just upstairs, her boss didn't permit her to go upstairs and change, always saying, "If you can sit there and screw up, you can wear your damn mess!" "I'm...not allowed to..." she answered quietly, looking up only long enough to see he himself had changed and looked back down. Colette finished mopping and packed up the supplies, "If you need anything, I'll be at the bar or any of the others can help you." She told him, wanting to get away before she did more to mess up, and didn't want the embarrassment of her not being able to change yet.

"What are you doing!?" The one he'd been speaking to earlier on the phone screamed through his head set. "I don't care if you feel like acting chivalrous, you can't go an abandon your post!"
He ignored him and continued doing as he felt, even going so far as to turn off his earpiece.
"JOHNATHAN!"

She stopped with a flinch when he grabbed her arm, escaping a yank like one of the burly bikers did once, but was shocked when he offered to help her. "No..no, I'm fine, really. Her boss was already angry and she really didn't want this man to get either of them riled up any further.

"Fine. If you insist on refusing my help. Then I'll be on my way." He adjusted his collar. "The money for the tea is on is on the table and here is your tip." Reaching into his suit he pulled out a substantial amount of money. Leaving as soon as he handed it to her. "Oh and one more thing" He whipped back around. "Keep your back straight and poised and your upper arm stiff and move more fluidly from the shoulders and hips. It helps maintain balance while also ensuring easier movement."
His earpiece clicked back on, not the best sign when they overrode it only to like this.
"If you don't get back to your job I swear I will come and shoot you myself."
One last wave and an awkward smile like expression and he disappeared in the crowd.

"I mean, thank you, I very much do appreciate your offer, but I'd feel awful if he harmed you.." she sputtered before he left, waving awkwardly back to him. His headset wasn't hidden from the public eye, supposedly to make him appear as nothing more than a common business man, though his conversation was nothing of the sorts, "Yes...I have a visual." A loud crackled voice murmured something inaudible, "No, there's too many citizens..yes sir.." With a flick of his wrist, Otto snapped his phone shut and watched for said man.

The shooter is unknown, but it appears they used a sniper rifle and shot from a building across the street from Lestley's office. With a nod of his head, Otto turned back around and slipped into the bar, approaching Colette, " 'Scuse me darling. But is James in his office now?" He asked, charming grin and all as he cautiously questioned the girl.
Colette gave a small nod of her head, not truly looking up at the man since her appearance still was uncanny, "Qui...eh yes sir he is. Just around the corner over there." She directed, twisting to show him the hall.
"Thank you sugar." With another grin down at the foolish girl, Otto slid his sunglasses from his face and went around and down the corner and hall like she'd directed. He never bothered knocking, and instead slammed the door open to find James, the large burly and hairy man, sitting at his desk.
"The hell do you want? You can't just come in here in MY office and slam around!" James growled, pushing up from his chair.
Otto said nothing as he tsked and pulled an object from his coat, "Drug dealing...human trafficking. ..my my, you are a busy man." Before he finished his sentence and James got a chance to speak, a bullet lodged itself between James' eyes as a now panicking crowd came running out of the bar.

His head snapped in the direction of the commotion. "We've got a situation"
"What is it?"
"Something happened at that bar again. People are in a panic." Checking for the gun in his pocket he headed back in that direction. "I'm going to go check it out."
"Okay,Be careful. Get out of there if things get too bad."
"Roger." The bar was a mad house as people scrambled to get out as fast as possible. He kept a hand close to the gun. "What's going on? What happened in here?" He called out.

One of the waitresses stopped in midst of all the panic, staring at him frantically, "Some psycho shot James!" She screeched and kept running out. Most of the bar was emoty except for the drunkards still passed out at the tables and bar, and a small commotion came from the office again, shouting and cursing, "No, no! He do nothing wrong! Stop!" A squeaky voice shouted.

Johnathan quietly made his way to the office. Tip toeing over toppled stools and broken glass. With his back to the wall he slowly drew the gun and peeked around the door frame. He still couldn't see anybody meaning the desk must have been farther back in the room. One of them was a waitress as for the other one he couldn't tell.

"Sweetie, yes he has. And I'm here to finish what this oaf couldn't. " Otto snarled, stepping partially into view, his hand firmly wrapped arond Colette's arm, her bottom lip quivering. Her gaze wasn't even on him. It was locked at the desk further into the room, her boss sitting there with a single bleeding bullet hole to his forehead. Even in death he wore a single sour expression.
"B..but..no..he wouldn't do that to us.." Colette whimpered, her smaller hand tugging at his at her arm.
He could only shake his head, his hand not even budging at her prying, "Are you even aware what trafficking is love? You're being sold. By the looks of you, you'll fetch a good enough price." He muttered, his explanation simple and dark to cowering girl.
il y a plus d’un an Axel1313 said…
The voice sounded familiar, but he still couldn't see him very well. If this were a robbery situation he would have left, but the mention of human trafficking meant there had to be something else to this individual than a hired thug. That and the fact that they had specifically targeted this place. He took a deep breath before whipping around the corner. "Don't move." He raised the gun at him.

He tsked, shaking his head, "Now you see. This is where things get difficult. Ican't just let her go because there is a large sum of money in for me when I bring her in. Pretty, petite, blonde. And foreign? These are fine qualities that'll fetch a hefty price." His smirk grew as he shifted Colette in his grip, pressing his mouth to her temple, opposite the one of the gun held to her, "Now come on love, our ride here..." he murmured and quickly shifted and removed the gun from her and shot at Johnathan, earning a loud squeal from her.

You're still a child compared to everyone else pup." He growled, popping the P at the end of the word. His arm dropped as he staggered then straightened, "You're lucky I'm not wearing Kevlar boy..." he drew his guns aim away from him and shot up at the office light, darkening the small room to a complete pitch black.
