There have been numerous adaptations of Jane Austen’s celebrated 1813 novel, "Pride and Prejudice" over the past decades. Two of these versions happened to be BBC miniseries that aired in 1980 and 1995. It has been a long time since I have viewed the 1980 miniseries. However, I recently saw the 1995 miniseries for the umpteenth time and decided to finally write a review of it. Mr. Darcy is not only a charecter in Pride and Prejudice but he is a true lead in the book. He is a mysterious, intriguing charecter that seems to truly hit accueil in our hearts even plus than we can explain. But how? There have been at least eight adaptations of "Pride and Prejudice", Jane Austen's 1813 novel. But as far as I know, only four are well known ou constantly mentioned par many of the novelist's present-day fans. And one of the four happens to be the movie adapted in 1940 par Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Don’t judge a book par it’s cover…its titre may give the readers a different connotation of what this book is really about. It may give the readers an idea of discrimination, fury, preconception ou judgment, but on the contrary Pride and Prejudice is simply just the greatest l’amour story of all time.
