Well, this is the third countdown of many plus to come organized for this club. Before all, I want to thank everyone who participated in the voting process and left commentaires regarding your opinions; your opinions matter when it comes to countdowns because without them there wouldn't be a countdown in the first place. Thank you!
I also want to give a special thanks to two fellow fanpop users who helped me with the countdown : Thank toi to hindaa for giving me the idea for a favourite scene countdown and thank toi to ppv who gave me the liste of scenes that include Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy to add to the countdown. Once again, thank toi to both of you! Your help is much appreciated!
Without further ado, here are the results of this countdown. As usual, the results will be presented from least favourite to favourite.
17. At the Meryton Ball, when she hears what he a dit about her.
ppv: Well this is a lovely scene, but they don't l’amour each other here yet, and they don't look at each other here, so let it be this scene, but I STILL ADORE IT!
Well, as toi see, this scene is the least favourite of the fans. Personally, I chose this as my least favourite scene because of what Darcy says about Lizzy. Everytime I watch this scene, I always say ''Darcy, what are toi saying?! Stop it!'' Also, this is my least favourite scene because, as ppv mentioned, they are not in l’amour with each other yet and they don't actually look at each other. There is no ''lovey-dovey'' moment, ou a dramatic moment; it's a moment where there are ''assumptions'', as I say. He assumes that she is not handsome enough to tempt him. Well, we know what happens about that, now do we!
16. Elizabeth receives a letter about Lydia.
hindaa: I like this scene very much, it shows how much Mr.Darcy care for Elizabeth, and how worried he looked when she was crying, so sweeeeet <3
Personally, I did not choose this scene as my suivant least favourite, but it was the next. There is no actual romance in this scene, but as hindaa says, toi see that Mr.Darcy cares for Elizabeth there and then, and that he wanted to do all he could to take away the sadness she was feeling. That is why I l’amour this scene, but there are others that I l’amour more.
15. At Netherfield, when Darcy is écriture a letter.
ppv: I feel myself like a traitor. All these scenes are just perfect.
I guess I picked this one because it shows their chemistry the least, but I'm not sure.
Once again, this wasn't my suivant choice. Actually, this was when there was a tie between 4 scenes. I created a tie-breaker pick, and this scene was chosen. I l’amour the interaction between Lizzy and Darcy. Well, it's not really a loving conversation, but it's a start for them. I l’amour romantic scenes, but even though this one is not, I still l’amour it. One reason that it's not one of my favourite scenes is because, as ppv says, this scene is one that has the least chemistry.
14. At Meryton Ball, when they first see each other.
Elizabeth_Darcy: I picked this one because ''nothing much is going on'. But, it is still a good scene! All of the scenes are! :)
Before someone starts saying ''Nothing much is going on?! What are toi saying?!'', let me explain what I mean. What I mean par this is that there is no dialogue between them in this scene; they just look at each other for the first time. With that said, I l’amour this scene because of that! It's the first time they see each other, and I find it such a lovely moment, even though they don't actually speak to each other. Every time I see this scene, I find that there is a connection between them when they look at each other. I don't know if it's just me, but I get that impression.
13. Mr.Darcy and Mr.Bingley go to the Bennets.
ppv: AHHH! Mr.Darcy and Mr.Bingley go to the Bennets loses. I ADORE this scene. She's afraid to look at him, and he's looking at her, and then he can't look at her, but she asks him, and he réponses with such passionate eyes. Oh this scene is just awwwwww! And then he goes away, and she acts like don't go, I l’amour you, I was so stupid, please forgive me........
Well, all that I wanted to say about this scene was already a dit par ppv. I l’amour this scene; toi see that Elizabeth doesn't want Darcy to leave and toi clearly see that she wants to tell him how she feels about him but she can't. I find it cute when they look at each other, but then look away. It saddens me that she can't tell him how she feels. The part I like the most in this scene is when he leaves and it looks like Lizzy wants to go to him.
12. At the Meryton Ball, when they are talking about poésie and dancing.
ppv: Impossible to pick a scene from the movie for me now. I just adore them so much.
I'm not joking when I say that I can recite this scene without looking at the script. I l’amour this scene! Ok, I l’amour Lizzy and Darcy, but I always find it funny when Lizzy responds ''Dancing. Even if one's partner is barely tolerable.'' It's like a ''in your face'' moment, and as much as I l’amour them as a couple, this moment is just funny, well at least for me. And to see his reaction, startled, is also funny.
11. When Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth, now married, are montrer affection for each other.
ppv: As I already said.
hindaa: and I agreed with you.
One of my favourite scenes of the entire movie is so low in the list! I love, love, l’amour this scene! Many people don't seem too fond about the alternate ending. Maybe it's because it's not close to the book; I don't know. Personally, I l’amour this scene because it is so romantic and I l’amour romantic moments. toi see that they truly are in l’amour with each other and toi see the l’amour in their eyes when they look at each other. I l’amour that the scene takes place at night-time; I find that the dark sky with the sort of candle light lighting was a great choice for this scene. I especially l’amour when Mr.Darcy keeps on saying ''Mrs.Darcy'' and kisses Elizabeth numerous times. Oh, how I l’amour this scene! I could watch it over and over again without getting tired of it! Well, I could watch the movie over and over again and never get tired of it!
10. When Darcy leaves a letter for Elizabeth
ppv: HARRRRD! But this is one of shortest scenes, so I pick it, still l’amour it!
This is a short scene, so there is not much I can say about it. I like this scene because Elizabeth is now aware of Mr.Darcy's side of the occuring events that were mentioned. I like that this scene is dramatic. Every time I look at this scene, at the end of it, I always look for Mr.Darcy's signature on the letter. I l’amour it! Anyways..... I don't have much to say about this scene other than that it was good.
9. When they look at each other before Elizabeth gets Mr.Bennet's marriage consent.
hindaa: Pretty short, but I l’amour it, I can't express my happiness when I watch this scene <3
I l’amour this scene so much! This is one of my favourite scenes, even if it is short. As hindaa says, I can't express how happy I am when I watch this scene! I l’amour the part when they look at each other. toi see that they are both happy and that they l’amour each other. This is such a sweet scene and I l’amour it!
8. At Rosings, when Elizabeth is playing the pianoforte.
Elizabeth_Darcy: Well, for this round, it was easier to pick a scene, but I still l’amour this scene!
I l’amour the interaction between Lizzy and Darcy in this scene. This is the scene where Lizzy tells Darcy that he needs to practice when he mentions that he doesn't have the talent of conversing easily with people he has never met before. I just l’amour when he looks back at her when he leaves. I don't know if it's just me, but I see longing, ou something, in his eyes. I l’amour this scene!
7. At Pemberly, when Elizabeth thought he was in London.
ppv: Oh are toi serious? I have to pick between one gorgeous scene, one awesome, one great, one best ever, amazing one, and a couple of scenes which are the best in the whole cinematography!? No, really?????
I love, love, l’amour this scene! I find it so funny! It's funny how things are awkward between them (well, not really funny for them ;) ) and they stumble upon their words. This scene always brings a smile to my face, especially when Mr.Darcy states he knows that she is fond of walking... I don't know why, but it does. This scene is one of my favoris (don't I say that for all of them?).
6. At Pemberly, when Darcy introduces Georgiana to Elizabeth.
ppv: I can't pick At Pemberly, when Darcy introduces Georgiana to Elizabeth because of his smile... I melt........
I'm sure par now toi know what I'll say..... Aw, what the heck, I'll say it anyway, I l’amour this scene. For some reason, I find this to be a cute scene. It's all smiles, and who doesn't like a cœur, coeur melting smile? I like this scene because toi see that things are getting better between them.
5. Darcy's attempt to propose.
hindaa: When I first watched the movie, this scene didn't surprise/affect me like the scene when Darcy touched Lizzy's hands...
I giggle every time I see this scene! I think Mr.Darcy is so adorable in this scene. I don't want him to be nervous, but he's just so cute in this scene! I find it funny when he leaves, and Elizabeth has a ''what just happened?'' face. I think they were both great in this scene. Once again, a good scene!
4. At the Netherfield Ball, when they are dancing.
Elizabeth_Darcy: These are probably the best scenes in this movie....... I don't know which one to pick!
This is my favourite dancing scene. I l’amour the interaction between them. toi clearly see that there is something going on between them, but it is not very clear as to what. I love, love, l’amour the part when they are dancing together and there is no one else in the room. I think they did a great job with this scene. It couldn't be plus perfect than this.
3. When Darcy helps Elizabeth get in the carriage.
Elizabeth_Darcy: As much as I l’amour this scene, the proposal scenes will, for me, always be at the haut, retour au début of my liste of favourite scenes.
This scene couldn't be anymore perfect! The hands touching was so... so..... undescribable. Words can't say what this scene is, exactly. This is a perfect moment between them. It was their first touch, and it was so well shown.
2. Darcy's first proposal.
Elizabeth_Darcy: Both these scenes are absolutely AMAZING! It is VERY difficult for me to choose my least favourite. In the end, I say that the seconde proposal scene is my favourite because I l’amour happy endings! :)
This proposal scene is flawless! I l’amour how this scene takes place outside, in the rain. It adds plus of a dramatic effect. To be honest, I can recit this whole proposal with barely any mistakes..... I absolutely l’amour it! I l’amour the tension and wanting between them. I especially l’amour the part where it seems he wants to Kiss her. Such passion!
1. Mr.Darcy's seconde proposal.
hindaa: "If your feeling are still as they were in last April tell me so at once, my affections and wishes have no changed but one word from toi will silence me forever, if your feelings however have changed, I would have to tell toi that toi have Ma Sorcière Bien Aimée me body and soul, and I love... I love.... I l’amour toi <3"
I don't know why, but I keep écriture this quote where ever I go, specially on my studying livres
ppv: ^Awww... ... "I never wish to be parted from toi from this jour on."
Perfection at its finest! This scene couldn't be any better! I l’amour how this scene takes place in the morning, at sun rise, and it's just them two in an open field. The moment was so perfect, and Mr.Darcy was... was..... well, left me speechless. He's the perfect man for Elizabeth! They are meant to be with each other, and Elizabeth realizes that she is in l’amour with him, and he loves her and.... and..... it's a perfect ending! This scene was brilliantly thought out and it is one of my all-time favourite scenes from any movie! This scene brings me such joy to watch. Elizabeth + Mr.Darcy = l’amour Forever <3
