Not a stupid question at all! I decided to take what Wikipedia had to say....

Pretty Little Liars is an American teen drama mystery/thriller télévision series created par Marlene King. Based on the populaire series of novels written par Sara Shepard, the montrer premiered on June 8, 2010 on ABC Family. Set in the fictitious town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, the series follows the lives of Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell), four girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their Queen bee, Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse). One an later, they begin receiving messages from a mysterious figure using the name "A" who threatens to expose their secrets. At first they think it's Alison herself, but after she is found dead, the girls realize that someone else knows their secrets—including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew.

It's REALLY good, toi should totally watch! :D

ITS ABOUT 4 Friends THAT LOSES their friend Alison, and the town, rosewood comes a horrible murder town. Maya was killed, Emily's girlfriend, Garret, after telling Spencer how Alison died,Ian, Alison pushes him off the cloche, bell tower after he tried to kill Spencer. E.T.C. and this A person who texts horrible messages but true to the girls, they try to find out who kill her. but A forces them to do stuff sometimes. Alison was buried alive, as her cousin( adoptive sister) hurt her with a rock and Ali's mum thought that she was died so she buried her. to be continued...
