It would make it sense if they used them like we would, they're meant to be the best trainers in the region yet they use the tactics of gym leaders for items.

I may be whinning, but I think the items are annoying.

I do but I actually want some sort of a challenge from them. They use 2 full restores when I have usually 30 , it would seem the developers want them shown as overconfident.

What idiots would say yes? I've been fighting them and they use like 5 full restores in a row. It freaking ANNOYS me how they consistently use them, especially when they're almost defeated and I only have like 4 PP for all of my moves left.

^Then carry max elixirs etc. I see them use 2 and have checked on websites for proof of how many they have. If they have a chance to use them then you aren't using the right strategy. Try OHK-ing them or use moves that won't do enough damage for them to use it, about 1/2 to 2/3 will do it.

That'll get even more annoying.

What if they only used more in the post-story attempts, you know when your pokemon should be far stronger?

NearRyuzaki, I'm sorry, but max elixers are hard for me to come by, considering the ones I find are usually used in Gym battles. Plus, at that point in the game, it's not like I'm gonna have a team CAPABLE of OHK-Oing them, seeing as by the time I get to the Elite 4, my team is usually only around level 55-65.

OH! And another thing is, they usually inflict status ailments on me and I do the same to them, which is a perfect example of one of my major annoyances with the game: If I'M paralyzed, it seems I'm ALWAYS incapable of moving, while if they're paralyzed, they seem to NEVER be incapable of moving. If I'm put to sleep, it seems to take the full 5 turns to wake up, while for them it only usually takes the minimum 2. God I hate that....

Agent-Cynda wasting them on the gym leaders was quite a bad idea, I never needed to use them against them and I was usually under leveled. You could train them at places so they can either OHK or do just under a 1/3 so they won't heal.

I barely get status ailments from them, try having them hold specific items for each member. Sleep only lasts for 4 turns max, might be 3 ikr. It may be annoying but it would make more sense for them to have them.

i have lv.100 but they're still annoying.

in real pokemon battles, items are banned. So they should not use items.

Im talking about first time encounters with elite four, when the pokemon are 60-70 range

people aren't allowed to use items to allow fairness in battle, restricting some strategies.
