I can honestly say since I've played the games so long I can't remember all my battles so I'm not all that sure whether I've ever lost to a trainer of a certain trainer class..

Yes. In Pokemon diamond I lost to the bug catcher guy on the route by floarmoa town 😂 I was training my lv. 1 Pokemon in the grass and accidentally ran into him... Lolz 😓 now when I train that low of Pokemon I always bring a good one too 😊
