"B-but....i didn't-" Gray was cut short by a quick blast of fire only centimeters away from his face, nearly incinerating the wall he had his back against. Gulping loudlly, he stared straight into Blaze's Ruby colored eyes that seemed to glow with pure, unrighteous fury.

"Why!?" Blaze screamed, Darmanitan blasting another Flamethrower that just barely missed him. "Do you think i'm weaker than you now!?" Gray's legs wobbled, but he found himself unable to move. Was this fear? Was he that scared?

He'd been expecting Blaze to be mad...after all, Blaze didn't play around when it came to Pokemon battles. But this was far scarier than he'd expeected...even if he'd deserved it after what he did...

He'd broken their promise.

He'd thrown their battle.

And now he was paying the price.
