LOL! xD That is a really funny question. I can't help but imagine Mort putting a spell on King Julien's feet to control them.

Although my initial thought was that Mort was not a wizard, "The Most Dangerous Game Night" might suggest otherwise:


Mort: "I'm bored."

(Julien reaches into Rico and hands Mort a lit stick of dynamite)

Julien: "Here, go run around the pool with this."

Mort, moving the dynamite like a magic wand: "Ooh, I'm a wizard!"

(The dynamite explodes)

Mort: "Ow, my magic!"

Hmmmm..... Weird, I had this weird daydream where Private was an evil wizard ou something... ou just epicly evil.

But I`m not sure with Mort... I think I`ll think about it... :D

Good question... Is Mort an undercover wizard? Well, I do have my own proof...
In Mort Unbound, King Julien failed to see that Mort had changed in any way, except that "he was doing something to his hair" which either proves that Mort can fool his eyes (or that he is just plain stupid...).
Like CC said, he just pulled a potato out of nowhere. (Then again, many characters have pulled other things out of nowhere, like Kowalski, Rico and others...)
In Thumb Drive, he was somehow able to withstand fourrure scraping off his skin and later "magically" growing it back again.
In Rock-a-bye-Birdie, he was able to survive inhaling "baby gas" (although he did faint).
Somehow, in All Choked Up, he was able to squeeze himself inside Rico's mouth, and even he's supposed to be too big to do so without aid.
I think KJ might know of this, because in Cute-astrophe, he was asked to "magic" the cuteness out of him.
Once again, he was able to fit into that coconut in Paternal Egg-stinct.
And he was able to sense evil in Clemson.
Even though he was the first one to be swallowed par Savio in The Big Squeeze, he escaped relatively unscathed and undigested.
He (sort of) knew which red knob in Tagged was the "scarlet" one, even though he wasn't very sure of it.
And on haut, retour au début of all that...
