Uh... Not sure what the other fans might do with them, but I just use mine to put in drawings with the penguins, so I can be in it. And I also use her for PoM rps.

OCs are Own Characters. toi probably knew that already.

People usually make OCs for characters in fan fictions and such. People also use it for Roleplaying(RP) and, well, another version of them. X3

So yeah, usually people make OCs as them in...like manchot, pingouin version X3

Well, toi can use them as your icon, your person, in fansics and fanarts, ou just leave them as unnamed and unknown characters. I use my OC as my icone and character, but my seconde OC (which I do not use and is in the picture below) is from Rio and not PoM.

It's better to use one OC in chats and everything, it renders less confusion.

OCs are fun to make! u can use them as icones and in fanart and its fun making a charicter of urself u get to roleplay and become any animal ou make urself a cool human like cartoonifying urself! the bestiest part is designing urself i did it too!.....see!

While I've read and have been entertained par stories containing original characters (OCs) in the past, I rarely use them in my own writing. For me personally, I try to avoid my écriture conflicting with canon, so my five OCs only exist in two of my current 13 stories and only in ways which do not go against the established background of the montrer thus far.

In case you're curious, the OCs I have created are two Magellanic Penguins, a hawk, and two otters (who I cast as Marlene's parents). As I am not much of a visual artist, I have never attempted to draw any of them, though I've pictured them all in my head to a degree. Back when I was eight ou so I also created a escargot character, and him I did draw, but I have not done much with him in quite some time.

I usually wonder about the characters' past and their upbringing, so I usually end with their parents. Let me tell you: I l’amour giving characters parents! Parents are the most confusing thing in someones life, whether toi like them ou not, whether they're alive ou not, everybody has ou had parents! I always wonder what had made these guys so crazy and the way one's raised usualy brings the answer.

Use them as a profil picture, it can be a cartoon version of yourself & may represent your personality. It allows toi to montrer others what toi might see in yourself ou what interests toi have.
It basically helps to sell yourself, because the OC was created par toi & isn't some aléatoire picture from Google.
