Ever wondered why all four of the penguins eyes are blue and not some other color?

I never really thought much about why the penguins have blue eyes, but I've always liked the way they look.

Perhaps the reason is because the animators wanted to make the penguins plus human-like. The four already talk, organize, and drink coffee, so why not give them blue eyes as well? This would contrast to the red color of Buck Rockgut's eyes, a red generally too deep to be seen in humans.

Perhaps the reason is because giving all four the same eye color makes things easier during the animation process and saves time. It could also be for aesthetic reasons, meaning that the creators simply just liked the look of the blue eyes and went with them. ou it could be because the penguins look plus united with the same eye color, as jackandjill2 suggested.

I did look into what color real penguins have and confirmed that no species has precisely blue ones. The Fairy manchot, pingouin comes close, though, having eyes that are a bluish-gray. SeaWorld's website reveals that the "color of irises varies among the species," specifically noting the following other color possibilities:

-- Brown, reddish-brown, ou golden-brown for many species;
-- Red for the Macaroni and Rockhopper species; and
-- Yellow for the thusly named Yellow-eyed penguin.

maybe it's a characteristic of the breed of manchot, pingouin they are. No species of real-life manchot, pingouin has an actual eye color (so I think), so the animators want to further differentiate these penguins. Plus, it looks cool that they all have the same eye color. plus unified: like the brothers they seem to be.

Correction their eyes are different shades of blue.

Ah, interesting question. I've noticed it, but I've never really wondered why... until now.

Interestingly, Buck Rockgut's eyes are red and Uncle Nigel's eyes are green.

We've never really agreed on what species of manchot, pingouin the four are, so maybe the makers wanted to create a new species and one of the features of that species is blue eyes.

Yeah that is weird. I've noticed that too. then again. They look awesome with blue eyes though ;)

I concur with Jackandjill and SJF, the penguins are a "Classified' species of manchot, pingouin (copyright SJF penguin, it was in a fanfic of his :D)So this species probably has all blue eyes. Plus when toi humanize them, it looks so cool to have a dark-haired guy with blue-eyes. OwO

Well, it could be for many reasons, as the people have explained up there^it could also mean that they are the good guys :) I mean, most villians have red eyes to montrer who they are, right? Even vampires!...remember Twilight?

i think they have blue eyes to make the look of a penguin,.... well,.. penguiner. blue eyes are good with penguins, because they spend most of their life in blue places like the water ou watery snow,.. ou places with fish,.... WICH ARE BLUE!
ou mabey the producers tryed some thing different on them, but blue was the best color.., i mean,.. would toi think the penguins would of looked better with red , purple , yellow, ou brown eyes? brown eyes would of been a little too mamleish( meaning they only looked good on a mammle) yellow would of made them too neon and strange, red and purple are for bad guys ou (or !) ou girl penguins . so thats my theory!
