"Hey, future drivers!" Paul and Hank's father approached them after dîner that night, jingling the car keys in his hands. "Who wants to come along and do a little practising?"
Paul, who had been lire a musique magazine on the couch, and Hank, who had been watching a movie with a lot of explosions on the TV nearby, both sat up. "I do!"
Soon, the three of them sat in the car in a mostly empty parking lot. "Who's going first?" their dad asked.
"Let Paul go first." This answer surprised Paul. Normally his brother was plus than eager to be first at everything.
"You feeling okay, buddy?" Their father was only half-teasing as he looked back at Hank with some concern. "Okay, then. Up toi come, Paul, into the driver's seat."
Paul's hands were tense as he took the wheel, his father in the passenger side and Hank still in the back. He felt his fingers moving almost without his being aware of it as his father showed him how to turn the key.
And then Paul was driving. The car glided vers l'avant, vers l’avant across the parking lot, sometimes too fast ou too slow, his father occasionally pointing out something he had forgotten. Mostly, there was nothing but him and the car, and soon Paul fell into a rhythm, almost sensing what the car needed from him next.
Eventually, his father directed him into a parking spot, and while Paul came a little close to the lines on one side, and the car was just a little crooked, he managed to park the car. "Nice job, Paul," his father said.
"Yeah, toi were great." Hank sounded a little distracted.
"Well, Hank?" their father prompted. "Ready to become the world's other best driver?"
His words were playful, but Paul couldn't help but notice Hank looked a little pale as they switched places.
As soon as Hank started driving, Paul could feel the difference. Hank spent almost a full two minutes adjusting the mirrors and siège before he even got going, even though Paul had been driving last and he and Hank were exactly the same height. Once he got going, he paused for a full seconde ou three before every turn, before doing almost anything. His hands were tight on the wheel, his face tense with concentration. The car crept along in a fit of stops and starts.
"Uh, Hank," Paul ventured, "maybe toi should try...."
Hank's eyes never left the windshield. "Don't bother me, Paul. I'm driving."
"You need to go a little faster than that, buddy," their father advised. "If toi go that slow on the road, it's as bad as driving too fast."
Hanks's shoulders tensed. "I know what I'm doing, Dad."
Hank finished his turn par taking three minutes to finally ease the car into a parking space, where he pulled it in so cautiously it ended up sticking out too far into the roadway. Hank muttered to himself, tried to fix it, and ended up sticking halfway into the l’espace behind him.
Paul didn't know what to say. He mostly wanted to say something helpful, but he doubted even that would be received well.
"Well," Paul and Hank's father a dit at last, breaking the silence, "that was a good practise round, toi two. I'm sure your driving instructor will help toi with whatever else toi need to learn."
He tactfully didn't direct this any plus at Hank than at Paul.
All the way home, Hank a dit nothing. But Paul noticed him sweating as he scrutinized every déplacer their father made while driving the car.

Two years had passed since Anjanette met her friends, Ferdinand and Tammy. It had also been two years since Anjanette started living with her uncle, Bruce, and since she adopted her Collie, Misty. Misty had grown into a mature adult. Anjanette even believed that if Misty were human, she'd be wise beyond her years. Anjanette, Ferdinand, and Tammy were now teenagers. Ferdinand even gained a very deep voice, almost as deep as Ringo Starr's. Anjanette even gained a deep voice, thankfully not deep enough to pass for a man. The three Friends were getting ready to start high school. Their high school...

I know I could have written all of toi a personal message, but I thought it was easier to address everyone here. Without further ado, I will get started with the message.

I would just like to thank everyone for the kind words, support, and virtual hugs. I am just so heartbroken over River's loss. She was so young, and it was so sudden. She got loose, was hit par a truck, and was gone within a moment's notice. She was just three years old. Even though I only had River for a short amount of time, she brought so much joy. She was a precious gem, and no dog will ever replace her.

As most of toi know,...

After Tammy's parents made them a big breakfast of eggs and crêpes the suivant morning, it was time to leave. Ferdinand's father and Anjanette's Uncle Bruce arrived in their cars to take their children back home.
"We need to do this again," Tammy a dit enthusiastically. "We can do animal-themed crafts, and dance parties, and we can all make friendship bracelets to wear ou something...."
Anjanette had to grin back. "Yes, we should."
Ferdinand nodded, too. "We'd l’amour that."
"Oh - I almost forgot!" Tammy dashed through the cuisine towards a chest of drawers, nearly upending a pitcher of orange juice...

After school, Tammy and Ferdinand talked with their parents about the play rendez-vous amoureux, date and sleepover. Anjanette talked with her uncle. After being donné the go ahead, the three Friends met at Ferdinand's for a play date. Ferdinand's new rabbit, Petunia, was coming out of her shell. She came out with Lily to discover the humans. Anjanette said, "I'm glad pétunia is warming up." Ferdinand gave a smile. He said, "I'm glad about that too. I think Lily has helped her a lot." Misty watched the rabbits hop around. She then saw Orion and took off to play with him. Tammy laughed. She said, "I've never seen...

Tammy let out a small gasp. "Oh my gosh, Anjanette, how did that happen?" She reached out as if she wanted to touch the scars and make them better somehow.
Anjanette took a deep breath. "These - are from when I was still living with my parents. They're from before the time they intentionally hit me - but it was still their fault." She could feel the tears welling up again, and she swallowed hard.
Tammy sucked in her breath, eyes wide and filled with what Anjanette almost thought was sympathy, but she didn't interrupt. Anjanette pressed on.
"They went out to eat a lot... because they thought it...

Saturday came, and Anjanette went to the pet rescue center with Uncle Bruce. Tammy's mother greeted them. She said, "Welcome! I'm sure you're here to see the puppies." Anjanette said, "Yes. I heard from Tammy that toi have colley, collie puppies." Tammy's mother smiled. "You must be Anjanette. Tammy has told me a lot about you." Anjanette and Uncle Bruce were directed to the dog kennels. They saw all kinds of dogs, from Poodles to German Shepherds. They then saw the most adorable colley, collie puppies. "Thanks, Uncle Bruce." Anjanette smiled broadly at the thought of finding her Collie. Her first pet....
"I'm glad you're talking to the other kids at your school a bit more, too," Bruce went on, as he began to open the cuisine cupboards to fix Anjanette an After School snack. "I know toi were nervous around them at first."
Anjanette nodded slowly. "They are different here from how they were at my old school. And Tammy...

At lunch, Anjanette and Ferdinand sat with Tammy. Tammy wrote down directions to her parents' pet rescue center. Anjanette asked, "Does this place ever rescue Collies?" Tammy replied, "We do have Collies sometimes. In fact, we have a litter right now. They were rescued from a ditch along with their mother." Anjanette said, "That's awesome! I can't wait to tell my uncle the good news." Tammy said, "You live with your uncle? What happened to your parents?" Anjanette began to cry. Ferdinand said, "She's not ready to talk about that just yet. She has been through so much already. She recently started...

About a week later, Anjanette and Ferdinand met as they usually did outside their new school. Anjanette looked tired.
"How are you?" Ferdinand greeted her. "You look tired."
Anjanette sighed. "Uncle Bruce and I stayed up late every night this week looking for a Collie. We looked at breeders, classified ads, everywhere. Either the place was too far away, ou they didn't have the right type of dog, ou it didn't look reputable - there was always something wrong!"
Ferdinand touched Anjanette's shoulder encouragingly. "Don't give up. I know you'll find something. I should know; I've found four pets...

After playing with Ferdinand's pets, Anjanette stayed for dinner. After dinner, she went back home. Uncle Bruce helped her with her homework. He asked, "Did toi have a good time at Ferdinand's?" She said, "Yes, I did. His new rabbit, Petunia, is adorable. She's shy, but she's very sweet. She has very soft fur." This made Uncle Bruce smile. After finishing her homework, Anjanette decided she was ready to ask her question. "Uncle Bruce?" she said. He turned to her. "Yes, Anjanette?" She asked, "Can I have a pet?" He said, "Of course. What kind of pet do toi have in mind?" She said, "A dog." He...

One jour after Anjanette was settled into her new life living with her uncle Bruce and attending her new school with its strict no-bullying policy, Ferdinand invited her over to play with his pets. "I just got a new rabbit to keep Lily company. I thought she seemed a bit lonely, since the cat and the hamster never really want to play with her."
Anjanette loved all of Ferdinand's pets. Cheeky, his hamster, was asleep most of the time she was there, since it was still daytime, but he did wake up at one point to poke his furry head through the door of his nesting box and yawn hugely. Orion, Ferdinand's...

A lot of people have asked, "What do toi feed your dogs? How do toi feed them?" This is what I do. toi don't have to do what I do. This is what works for me.

I currently feed my chiens Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete. I changed them to this to save money, and it's also enthusiastically recommended par Dog nourriture Advisor. This particular product is for active chiens of all sizes. It is free from corn, which is great, because River is allergic to corn. It is made with gluten-free grains, since chiens don't really need gluten. It also contains probiotics, as well as glucosamine and condroiton, so I don't...
