One day, John took his dog, Thunder, to the park. While there, a beautiful woman about his age caught his attention. He a dit to himself, "She'll never notice me." The ghost of Amelia appeared to him and said, "She won't notice toi if toi don't talk to her. Go talk to her, John." John started walking up to the beautiful woman. He then tripped and fell. Thunder ran to the woman. As John struggled to get up, he watched his dog get the woman's attention. She said, "Hi, boy! Are toi lost?" He barked and urged her to follow him. He led her to John. He was still struggling to get up. The woman asked him, "Are toi okay?" He said, "I think so." She said, "Let me help you." She helped him to his feet. He said, "Thanks." He began to limp. She said, "You're hurt." He said, "I'm all ri..ow!" She said, "Sit on this bench." He sat on the bench. She asked him, "Where does it hurt?" He said, "My left knee." She looked at it and said, "It's bleeding. I'll just clean the wound and patch it up." She got out her first aid kit, cleaned his wound, and patched it up. He asked, "Are toi a nurse ou a medic?" She said, "I thought about being a nurse, but I'm an artist at heart." He asked, "What's your name?" She said, "Caryn. What's yours?" He said, "John." Caryn smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you, John. toi have a nice dog, too." John said, "Thanks. His name is Thunder. He's a rescue." She said, "I have a rescue dog, too. I didn't bring her here, though. She is at the vet getting spayed. I have to go get her soon." John said, "I see. Say, Caryn, would toi like to go out sometime?" Caryn smiled and said, "I'd l’amour to." The two of them exchanged cellphone numbers before they parted ways. John later told his mates about it. They were happy for him. After nearly eighteen years, John finally had a date.

I am feeling much better today. I don't feel great, but I feel much better than I did a few days ago. I was able to go to school today. Michael, Sabrina, and Bridget helped me get caught up in my classes. I'm lucky to have such good friends. Of course, I did feel a bit tired after finishing my homework. I took a nap for a while. When I woke up, it was almost 6:00 pm. I didn't realize I had slept that long. When dîner time came, I ate really well. I didn't feel like eating much for the past couple of days. My appetite has returned. I think I will go to lit early tonight. I'm feeling pretty tired right now. I'm not completely better, but I'm close to it.

Summer Vacation has been great so far. While I've been enjoying school plus since I've gained a couple of friends, it's nice to have a break from it. I also received some exciting news. On July 9, I am going to be in Chicago to see The Devil Wants Peace in concert! I was so excited when my uncle told me he was able to afford the tickets. I later told my friend, Michael, "You should have seen me when my uncle told me the good news. I was jumping up and down, crying tears of joy." Normally, I'm not that excitable, but The Devil Wants Peace is one of my favori bands. Since I was six, I dreamed of seeing them live, and now, I can stop dreaming. This dream is becoming a reality. I don't know if I'll be lucky enough to meet them, but the fact that I'm lucky enough to see them is great.
