Paul opened his eyes and saw John rushing to him. John had a concerned look on his face. He asked, "Paul, are toi okay?" Paul groaned and said, "No." John asked, "Where does it hurt?" Paul replied, "My ankle is killing me. It's hard to déplacer it." John asked, "Do toi think it might be broken?" Paul said, "I'm afraid so. I heard this horrible cracking sound, and the suivant thing I know, I feel unusually warm, and the room appeared darker." John said, "The intense pain must've gotten to you. Do toi think toi can walk?" Paul said, "I'll try." He tried to stand, but the intense pain in his ankle made standing impossible. He was almost in tears. John said, "It doesn't look like walking is an option. I'll take toi to the hospital." John carried Paul to the car and drove him to the hospital. Once there, Paul immediately got a room. The doctor ordered an x-ray. After a long wait, the doctor said, "Your ankle isn't broken. You're lucky. With a fall like that, toi could've easily broken it. toi have sprained it very badly. It'll take about four to six weeks to heal. toi better go accueil and get some rest." Paul cane out on crutches. He said, "I'm going to be fine, John. It's a sprain." John said, "Thank goodness it isn't broken. I'll take toi home." When John and Paul arrived, Carl said, "Oh, Paul. Did Rosa break your ankle?" Paul said, "It's just a sprain." Erin asked, "What happened?" He explained everything. Lola asked, "Are toi okay?" He said, "Yeah. I'm going to be fine. Thanks for your help, John." John said, "You're welcome." He turned to his mates and said, "Let's get outta here and let Paul rest." Peter said, "I'm sorry this happened, Paul." Allen said, "If toi need anything, just call us." Stan said, "I'll be sending good thoughts your way." Paul said, "Thank toi all." After the members of The Devil Wants Peace left, Lola helped Paul to bed. His Husky, Nunavut, got in the lit with him. He said, "Goodnight, Lola. Thanks for helping me to bed." She smiled and said, "You're welcome, Paul. Sleep well." He drifted off into a deep sleep, exhausted from his rough day.
