Oz Favori Book Of The Series?

Which is your favorite book of the series, and how many have you read? I have a particular fondness for "Glinda of Oz", as I had an early edition (probably a reprint, since it was a trade paperback) of that as a child.

Unfortunately I have only seen the two films and never read the books. Which one is first chronologically?

I have only seen the Muppet's version of the Wizard of Oz and the 1939 version of course.

Of the series I have read "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" and "Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz"

I enjoyed the former more.

The only book I've ever read was the original, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." I loved it!
