ALRIGHT!!! So this article is going to cover chapter 68 of the Manga. Sorry it's going to be pretty long because this chapter was a great one! Yep, that's it. Just the one chapter. . . and then we have to wait for another mois until the new one is written, released, and translated. . . :(
Be optimistic people! lol
Ok, so where we left off, Tamaki had just said, out loud, that he loved Haruhi.
In the start of the chapter Tamaki is thinking about the time Haruhi was kidnapped. He thinks about how he blamed the kidnappers and then himself. He then remembers how relieved he is when he saw she was ok, saying that he was so relieved he thought he would die. He says that all the sloppy, scared feelings went away when he saw her smile. He then just thinks: "Ah yes. . . I'm in l’amour with that person. . ." (Yippy!)
He then thinks about all the things he's a dit to her and around her in the past. toi don't need me to even say the things he thought. Just think of Tamaki and his inner mind theatre and him playing the role of "daddy" for Haruhi. These thoughts pretty much haunt him now! MDR He freaks out, saying that he's an idiot and he wants to know when he'd fallen in l’amour with Haruhi. He realizes that, despite Hikaru telling him to not lose to his own trauma, he was depending on something and was afraid to let go of it.
He tells Kanoya, while they're in the race thing, that he didn't want to make his Friends (the Hosts) unhappy par changing things which is why he pretended not to notice any feelings for Haruhi. He realizes that Hikaru told him that they wouldn't break so easily, even if he did fall in l’amour with Haruhi. But Tamaki says that he doesn't have the confidence to be Rebelle and admit he loves her. He says he doesn't want to lose anything ou make anyone suffer. (Idiot! MDR jk) He says that the cowardly person his is right now won't be able to face "that honest girl" (meaning Haruhi).
Meanwhile, Hikaru and Koaru are letting people pass them without being right on the "Which one is Hakaru game". They don't really care anymore since Tamaki has figured out the reason for the relay race thing. Koaru compliments Hikaru on handling the situation the way he is. He tells Hikaru that he's dealing with Haruhi helping Tamaki really well. Hikaru says it's because he wants to compete for Haruhi seriously with Tamaki.
We flash to Haruhi who is getting ready at her station. She thinks to herself: "Tamaki, everyone is putting forth their best efforts to cheer toi up. Please do your best. . . this way everyone will all be stupid together again." MDR sweet and odd. . .? lol
Meanwhile Tamaki and Kanoya are trying to get past Mori's test. Which of course he can't even pass! MDR So he lets them through. For the first time in the race Kanoya suggest what ingredients she wants for the Curry.
When they get to Kyoya's check point he notes that their ingredient choices are odd. Kanoya starts to say that they weren't her choices but stops herself and instead says that they will make it work. She goes to collect the traverser, croix word puzzel Kyoya made while Kyoya thanks Tamaki for picking wrong foods, which they all knew he would do. He says that they were hoping to bring "Princess Kanoya's" true feelings out. Kyoya explains that the whole race was to help Kanoya realize and feel better about losing her father. Her fathers special recipe that he loved was different types of curry, au curry dishes. He tells Tamaki that Haruhi assured them Tamaki would figure this out and help her along the way. Kanoya interrupts then, telling Tamaki that the crossword is very hard. Upon looking it over Tamaki is able to answer all of the questions immediately because they're all related to things the Host club has done before. (some of them were clothes they've worn, old games, the thé cups they had used etc.) Kyoya tells Tamaki that they made the traverser, croix word puzzle to montrer Tamaki the gratitude they have for the Host Club.
Kanoya, having listened to all the conversations Tamaki has had with his Friends during the race, asks for the curry, au curry ingredients she wants, telling Tamaki that she also doesn't have a lot of confidence but some things she won't give up on. Kyoya give Tamaki a shove and tells him to hurry to the last station, adding "Haruhi is waiting for you." Tamaki hurries to her, thinking that he can hear all of his Friends telling him that it's ok that he loves her. He wonders if he had been mistaken about how they would all take it the whole time.
When they get to Haruhi she explains that they each have to put their hand inside the "Dragons mouth" and answer four questions. If they lie at all the "Dragon" will avaler, hirondelle their hand and they won't be able to continue. (The dragon is a sculpture that the Twins made with Cassanova hiding in it so he can grab the peoples hands if he needs to lol.)
Haruhi askes Kanoya simple questions at first, like her name etc. The last question she asks is: "Do toi feel sad ou regret that toi had to part from your father?" Kanoya of course stutters, not sure how to answer and Cassanova (inside the dragon) grabs her hand lol.
She starts to freak out and Tamaki get worried.
He yells at Haruhi, telling her to stop it, to which she says no. She tells him no, saying that he is also lying. She tells him that he promised to talk to the Hosts about his feelings, to tell them why he was hurting. She says that he thinks if he talks to them he'll cause pain ou if he's honest with them they will leave his side. She assures him that if they didn't care for him they would have left already. She says that they all know his good sides and bad sides.
She basically then goes over something about each Host, and I'm going to tell toi because it's cute and I warned toi that this chapter would be long! lol
She says the Twins knew he'd been able to tell them apart for a while.
Honey knows Tamaki won't be effected if he tries to get his way par fake crying to him.
Mori knows that if he challenge Tamaki to a match Tamaki might be afraid and flinch but would never back down.
She says that Kyoya made the traverser, croix word and that Tamaki was able to figure it out easily because of all the good memories with everyone that he created.
She then yells at him, saying: "You're selfish, a cry baby, and toi abruptly keep twisting us all around. . . but we still want to be here all together!"
Tamaki then realizes that he never felt trama. All he felt was afraid to lose the most precious things, his best friends. He realizes that they were all just feeling the same way, about him.
Kanoya reaches a breaking point around here, freaks out, starts crying, and admits how much she wants to see her dad (lame who cares? lol) Who, surprisingly, wants to become a celebrity chef, which is why he had to get a divorce as his ex-wife was very traditional. This, to Tamaki, is very funny and he laughs about her dad being a famous couteau cutting art chef (which Kanoya says is his passion)
The Hosts, who are all listening via cell phones, burst into laughter at Tamaki's reaction.
Haruhi, instead of joining on the laughter, comforts Kanoya. She tells her that maybe Kanoya should tell her family of her feelings because she looks plus relieved and happy then ever before.
Tamaki, hearing what Haruhi said, thinks about her: "This girl. . . I just l’amour her. I can't help it anymore. When we're together I have fun. I become concerned about her and sometimes even scared. But all these feelings make my confidence grow. Yes it's been a long time now." (What he means is it's been a long time since he's been in l’amour with her and just didn't know it. AWWWWW!)
Tamaki picks up the phone that Hikaru is on at this point. He asks Hikaru if they can find time to speak to each other later. He mentally adds to the conversion with Hikaru, but doesn't say it, "That I'm in l’amour with her."
YAY!!!!! I'm sorry, that was WAY too long but there was a lot to explain why the Hosts were doing what they're doing and also, I'm just so happy that Tamaki FINALLY realized he loves her! MDR Kick butt Tama-Chan!
