I think it's has to be between James & Hilarie because james is not much of an actor at first and same goes for hilarie, but both have improved the most since the pilot, but if i had to choose i would have to say hilarie.
Sophia didn't really need to improve her acting skills because she is already an amazing actress! Same goes for chad--he's a good actor! And well bethany is great too didn't need to improve much.

brooke has always been awesome and hayley has just made me like her more and more!!

I agree with you leytonfan4ever; up to chad. he was a good actor in the beginning, but I thought he slowly disintegrated in his efforts as the seasons went by; S4 especially: chad was spewing out lines but there was nobody home for the most part. He's stronger than ever this season though, so I'm glad he got his mojo back. I agree about Sophia, she's always been one of the strongest, just below Bethany Joy and the rest of the older cast. James was weak in s1 but has come a long way. he still needs more improvement. Hilarie was never really weak, she was just steadily ok. S4 (with psycho derek & finding out what brooke did with nate) showed that hilarie's displayed emotion on a higher level than the rest of the seasons. She's even stronger in s5. I think we all know that. I've noticed from a lot of comments that peyton's been growing on a lot of ppl who didn't even like her before s5 - cause hilarie's brought more to peyton's character. So anyhow, james L has come a ways from his weak acting in s1, but hilarie's come even further from where she began in s1. She's simply amazing this season!

brooke def because shes grown up so much and learned not to rely on boys and shes become a better person!! i also think nathan has grown up alot to!!

peyton has gotton worse i think chads and sophia's acting has always been great

i'd say chad and sophia have always been awesome...i chose peyton though i'd have to say nathan was a really close second, i almost picked him

that was really hard cause they were all good when the show started

how can you say hilaries actings got worse? she has got better and better and in s5 she rocks :) i think shes the best actress in the program now!

I think his acting improved the most, Hilarie's too, but I still can see those tiny annoying things that she used to do back in the pilot ... but overall she made me like her more and more, esp. S3 was a good one for her

i think james and hilarie has improved pretty much. i didn't like theyre acting in the first season at all. you couldn't take them som siriusly, if you know what i meen :p

James has become such a great actor since s1!
