So, okay, I know that Tree Hill is a small town, but from watching 4+ seasons it makes me wonder just how small the town is?!
I'm talking relationships, love and sex. Why do all of the characters have to have a triangle of somesort?! Check this out: from the beginning...

i dont know how small it is, but it just seems like the main characters don't venture much outside their own circle...i mean you see how many other kids there are at the school but other than a few, they just don't really interact much with others.
