Simon Cowell expects One Direction to break up, pursue solo careers

Simon Cowell, who was the mastermind behind the hugely successful boyband One Direction after putting them together on 'The X Factor' U.K. in 2010, has admitted while he thinks they will make two plus albums as a group, their future isn't certain after those records have been released.

He told the Daily étoile, star Sunday newspaper: "Bands don't stay together forever."

"I think they will make at least two plus albums together and they are in the middle of one right now."

Harry Styles momentarily broke a million hearts when he proposed to a fan on Wednesday - but, thankfully, it was just a joke.

The One Direction heart-throb popped the question to a fan who'd dressed as a bride at the band's cabriolet, gig in Philadelphia after he picked her out of the sell-out crowd and joked he didn't want her efforts to go to waste.

A rep for One Direction has rubbished rumours that Hazza will be releasing a solo album...

Harry Styles will NOT be going solo anytime soon, a rep for One Direction has confirmed.

The rumour mill was forced into action after Kodaline étoile, star Steve Garrigan suggested during an interview with Digital Spy that a song they penned together "could be on his album if he does something".

However, a spokesperson for the toi & I group has now dismissed speculation that Hazza will be flying the 1D nest, stating to E! News: "There are no plans for Harry to release any solo musique at this time, any écriture that he is doing is for potential One Direction songs.

"It's common knowledge that the boys write separately and bring to each other for the album."
