The band reckon Nic has a soft spot for one boy in particular.

According to the One Direction lads, Louis is only in the band because Nicole Scherzinger took a liking to him.

Nicole played a part in putting the band together last an from a bunch of the rejected X Factor solo acts, but Niall says Louis was her favourite.

"I saw her," Niall explained to the Daily Mirror.

"She kept saying, 'The one in the red hat,' when they were choosing us for the band.

"She liked you," he told Louis.

Nicole has previously claimed credit for helping to create One Direction during her time as a guest judge on the show.

"I’m not taking credit for the whole One Direction thing," Nicole told Capital.

"But hey, toi know, hands in the air, right? I was there, I was the voice of guidance!"

One Direction's debut single 'What Makes toi Beautiful' is out on Sunday 11th September.

The morning after Harry's funeral i stayed in lit my chest aching.

"Jen?" Louis asked quietly walking in.

I hugged my oreiller and turned over.

"Come on, don't be like this" Louis a dit crawling under the covers and spooning me.

I was now aware of the world around me, Louis, Niall, Liam, Zayn, Harry's mum i crawled out of Louis's arms and out of bed.

"Louis, let's go" I a dit grabbing some clothes out of my dresser.

"Out" i simply said.

Once again Louis joked, "Where out?"

"The park" I a dit giving in.
