Overly-sensitive Disney fans complaining that Once Upon A Time changes things from the original, despite that it's supposed to be a different interpretation

People who complain about Once Upon A Time, call it crap, say they're done with it several times, continue to watch the show, and just continue to complain about the show

As a HARDCORE Disney fan who takes his Disney VERY SERIOUSLY, I don't mind the changes the show makes. It's just a different interpretation and is just trying to make the characters we know and love enjoyable in a new way. It doesn't always work in some cases, but most of the time it does. I mean, could you imagine how BORING Regina's backstory would be if this whole time it really was just about being jealous that Snow White was prettier than her? Plus a lot of times these people complain about silly things. OH MY GOSH! AURORA ISN'T BLONDE! For goodness sake, GET OVER IT! It's not like it's insulting to Disney like Descendants, Maleficent, and Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland is!

But this group definitely annoys me the most! If you don't like the show and are just going to complain about it, JUST STOP! Plus, whenever I see someone say that they're "done with this show" they still keep watching the show and I'm all like "I saw that coming! You're never going to be done with the show!" Whenever there's a show I hate, I don't watch it, no matter how popular it is. It's that simple! Besides, they're just ruining it for those of us who do enjoy this show by bringing SO MUCH annoying negativity. How hard is it not to watch a show you don't like? Just stop watching it and stop ruining it for those of us who enjoy it with your negativity. Has the show always done things I love? No, but I still enjoy it, which is why I keep watching it.

Both. But this one has been annoying me to no end lately. And is particularly why I'm done with tumblr's Once fandom. Like I know I'm against the 'true fan' crap. But there are people who bash the show at every freaking turn, every small detail, but they claim to still be fans. These people also seem to shit on the earlier seasons too. It's like if you don't like what Once is becoming, stop watching it; that's what I did with Winx.

Also, I think there are some of us who don't like the show anymore/the later season(s) but are still hardcore fans of the first few seasons. So we are still active in the fandom and I think everyone has a right to their own opinions, so if I dislike or hate something in the show, I can still be a fan but express my opinion.
As long as it's worded well, all opinions are acceptable, I think.

Also, KataraLover, I'd just caution against calling out people for having negative opinions of things because I've read a lot of negative opinions that you have written on things.

What SherlockStark said. I stopped watching in the beginning on S5 because I didn't care for the new episodes/Dark Swan, but I'm not going to leave this spot or anything when I LOVED the first four seasons. Once S5 is finished I may try to watch the rest, but idk.

That being said, I also don't continually talk crap about it, at least not here.

That's the problem with tumblr though. They don't word it well at all. And literally everything is an issue--more specifically a social justice issue.

A lot of the changes and twists from Disney/the more traditional versions of the story-lines are part of what I love about the series.
