What the heck does dattebayo mean!?

I keep finding pictures of Naruto saying dattebayo and I have no idea what it means!

Well, in the subbed animé it shows as "believe it!" ou "ya know!" So I'm guessing its the Japanese way of Naruto saying "Believe it!"
