Dudley Do-Right is a 1999 comedy film that's based on a segment from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.
Dudley Do-Right's rival, Snidely K. Whiplash, becomes in charge of Semi Happy Valley. Dudley tries to save his city and impress Nell Fenwick. However Dudley gets fired so he gets mentored par a prospector named Kim J. Darling.
Dudley Do-Right got mocked for not being that entertaining, but I disagree with that. This film is tons of fun with several clever and hilarious scenes. The plot is interesting from beginning to end. This film succeeds at having a interesting plot and having great comedy. This film is mostly for jokes with a few sweet moments that are nice.
Brendan Fraser played Dudley Do-Right and it's hard to think of a better casting choice for Dudley than Brendan. Brendan was wonderful at making Dudley a likeable, charming, and fun hero. Alfred Molina is delightfully silly as Snidely. Sarah Jessica Parker played the damsel in distress parody character Nell Fenwick very well. Eric Idle is entertaining as the caring and eccentric prospector.
Most comedy films look decent, but this film looks much better than decent. The costumes and locations are visually well done and impressive.
There was a song that was made for this film called "Do Right par Me." It's a really good song. This film also has the song "Reunited" which is a lovely song. The other songs are pretty good.
Dudley Do-Right isn't well liked ou well known, but I think that it's worth checking out. It has a good plot, fun characters, and great comedy.
