It looks like the Artist Formerly Known as Prince might have to change his titre to the Witness Formerly Known as Prince!

Word on the rue is the Purple Rain singer could be called to court to testify in Michael Jackson’s wrongful death lawsuit against AEG.

To refresh your memories, the Jackson family is suing the insurance company for hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted with involuntary manslaughter after giving the King of Pop a lethal dosage of medication.

A source says Katherine Jackson’s legal team could call on Prince due to the fact that he also had a negative experience with AEG that might be useful in their case.

Sadly, the two pop icones never collaborated and as far we know, they never really had a personal relationship, so it’s a bit shocking to hear his name thrown into the mix. But apparently he’s just one of nearly a hundred witnesses Jackson’s legal team has lined up for the trial!

We're no legal experts, but that sounds like WAY too many witnesses!

It’s still unclear how big of a role Prince will actually end up playing in the lawsuit, but we have a feeling he'll find a way to make things interesting!
