Melisey I am just popping in to see if it has calmed down.I agree with you that there should never be shipping wars. But that wasn't exactly what was going on. What happened was that there were some trolling activity. There was this person who obviously made fake accounts. That person started some serious actor bashing. He/she made up a poll saying who is the ugliest actor, something. Than there was some harsh Eoin Macken bashing from his nose to his eyes. It has all thankfully been deleted. As for me this place that I always loved wasn't the same anymore. The trolling activity made people fight We should all be inclusive. People should like who they like, ship which ever couple they want. Uther/Morgana fans, Armor fans, Arwen fans etc should all be welcome. Heck perople can even ship the troll and great dragon for all I care. But we should all be civilized and respectful towards one another. And also show respect to the actors. Because even if we like their character or not. They are all part of making this wonderful show for us. I hope that it will all be solved so that we can go back to all the fun we had here.

EPaws Could not agree more with you ladies. Over the past week, a decidely ugly turn has happened on the Merlin spot for all the reasons illustrated above and as already beautifully said, so totally unnecessary and devisive. The show is called Merlin, made up of a phenomenal ensemble cast. It says something that we are passionate about the series and for good reason, that does not, however, excuse rudeness, unkindness, and personal attacks. I was, myself, particularly displeased by the rather unctious tones, most often spouted, clearly by females, judging the women folk on the show. Value judgements on looks that verged on purile. It is particularly disheartening to hear young females doing this to each other because in effect, a generation that should know better, were pandering to all the isms in the world that a woman's (soul) sole value is that she fits into a mold, one mold or precept of beauty. Excuse my english, but that is bullshit on an epically disproportionate scale. Ask yourself this, would you in turn appreciate being judged in this way? I think not. It is not your value and if it is your value judgement on yourself. More fool you. Nothing wrong with shipping whomever you so select. We are all different and are allowed divergent opinions, within reason. Whomever you might like as a pair, may well not suit me. I am sure I can come up with a million reasons why not, as can you. As both have said above, let us agree to disagree without whipping out clubs and taking the offensive. Why? It speaks to a lack of character most often and says very little about personal self respect. I thought the Merlin spot was about the collective enjoyment. A cheering section for what is so damned right about this show. The chivalry, the love, the friendships, the magic, the charm not childish bickering about nonsensical bullshit that at the end of the day, means nothing to our respective lives or that of the actors in question for that matter. We are actually on the same team. Never forget that. We are on the young warlock's team, exquisitely and subtlely played by Colin Morgan. We revel in the trials and tribulations he faces as he leads, by subtlety, the destiny of an empire through service to and for, his destiny, and that of the once and future king and queen. Let us try to enjoy the journey together and remember why we are here. Let not sorcery *snort* destroy this once and future spot. A pleasing Sunday to one and all. ElegantPaws

heartmerlin2 People are forgetting that the core purpose of this club is to celebrate and encourage our love for the show. Not to fight each other and annoy them about what what we individually think is wrong and right to believe and feel. The site is worldwide and therefore open to EVERYONE, from different beliefs and backgrounds. There is NOTHING to say anyone is wrong to ship a couple, or whatever people are getting worked up about. As well as collectively enjoying our love for the show, the club is here to start new friendships with our interests, not creating friction and hatred towards fans that could otherwise be our friends. Agree to disagree and be done with it. Just because an interest in couples may differ, does not change the true passion you share with them. At the end of the day, we are not here to judge. We are here to be proud and be part of such an amazing fanbase which, as we all know, the show more than deserves. I hope, as louveangel rightly said, people open their eyes and others to what the site may become. It's easy to keep the peace in small clubs, not so easy in larger ones, which is why we must beware of this unneccisary and needless bickering. BradAngeleyes I didn't even know anything about this, I thought this sort of thing only happened on YouTube. I have seen posts about who is more beautiful than who adn stuff like that but have never been interested to take part so didn't even click on the links because I'm not into that sort of thing. Who the f*** cares who is more beautiful than who, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I thought this was a Merlin spot, not a beauty pageant. Anyway. I think it's totally disgusting and am glad I didn't participate.

kuncuyug I don't know what happened last night but I feel sad to see the fans fighting. People may think what they want to think and you can't just force them to change their minds. If everyone thought the same, everyone would be like the clones of the same person. :) Just yesterday, I was thinking how nice and kind the fans on this spot are and seeing what happened today made me sad. This spot is my fave spot on fanpop and that's because of the fans here. I can see that sweet Louvreangel Başak is trying to reunite the fans again. I share her feelings. I hope everything can be the same again. @ BradAngeleyes, I made picks like you mentioned but they were only for fun. I never meant to hurt any one.

Thank you for being such an amazing fanpoper to the spot and and amazing friend to me <3 Evrything you said is what I also feel, so there's not much to add.. Just like you said, being a part of this spot is not essencial to like and watch the show, and if the disrespectful wave between fans and from fans to actors/couples continues, then it's better to take a break on it.. For everyone who doesn't know what happened yesterday, Melissa just explained everything above. I was involved and that's why I wrote what I wrote on the wall. There was a misunderstood which I've apologised for and I completely assume the fault. All these fights that keep going on made me lose a bit of the excitement I used to feel when I went on the spot, and seeing in what this spot turned into made me realise I don't really want to keep being a part of it. I don't know if the problem is mine, so as an experience I'll take a break, and see if you're better off as before when everyone was cool in here. I just want to apologise once more and say that after all I really love you all guys, and hoped we could all be friends.. I'm sad this had come to what it did and that people forgot this is the MERLIN BBC spot. I really agree with everything you said on the article hunnie, and thanks for expressing it once again.. :')
