We all know that when it comes to supporting charities in any way they can, One Direction are right up there and Louis Tomlinson has just illustrated once again why he\'s a bit of a legend by signing up as the celebrity patron for the Stacey Mowle Appeal.

This charity is pretty close to Louis\' heart and was originally set up to fund specialist treatment for Stacey, who battled neuroblastoma for five years. Stacey met the1D guys during her treatment but tragically past away in March after relapsing.

But Stacey\'s family have decided to continue the charity in her name to help other people battling the disease and now Louis has decided to publicly pledge his support for the awesome work they are doing.

Stacey was a Louis girl at heart and they apparently bonded over a shared love of football when she visited the lads at an X Factor performance rehearsal in 2013, so we\'re guessing she\'d be pretty over the moon about his involvement with her foundation.

Announcing the news on Twitter after a few teasers about their new celeb patron, the charity said: "It is with great pleasure and a big beaming smile on our faces to announce our princess\'s new patron!

"There is now only One Direction this appeal is going in, yes guys, please welcome 1D\'s Louis Tomlinson to our fantastic patronage.

"You know how much our Princess loved 1D. This is massive!"
