Ever since the news was announced that Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have called off their engagement, all eyes have been on Perrie because she\'s a girl and apparently girls aren\'t allowed to have feelings.

Which is exactly why the singer\'s Little Mix bandmates are stepping up to their BFF duties, as they don\'t let the paparazzi get even a whiff of a glum look from the singer.

Currently on a badly-timed promo tour in the US for their forthcoming album Get Weird, Leigh-Anne Pinnock tried her best at taking the attention away from Pez, as she showed off her moves in the middle of the street!

Jade even clung on to Perrie\'s hand as Leigh-Anne did her thing, redefining the meaning of Friendship Goals.

Not only that, but Perrie well and truly showed Zayn what he\'s missing earlier today (August 6) in a very glam Instagram snap, as she rocked a white lace evening gown.

With a fierce look on her face and both hands on her hips, we get the feeling that she is not one to be messed with.

November/December 2011 – Zayn and Perrie meet through The X Factor (One Direction came third on the show a year before, and Little Mix were competing.

April/May 2012 - The pair finally confirm their romance after being spotted kissing.

June 2013 – Zayn gets a large tattoo of Perrie on his bicep, making the fans go into meltdown.

August 2013 – Perrie is pictured at One Direction's film premiere for This Is Us wearing a gigantic diamond ring. Rumours quickly surface that Zerrie are engaged.

March 2015 – Zayn is snapped getting cosy with a girl called Lauren in Thailand, but quickly shuts down any rumours of cheating.

March 2015 – Zayn quits One Direction soon after the infidelity rumours that caused him to take a break from the OTRA tour surface. Fans label Perrie the 'Yoko Ono of 1D'.

April 2015 – Zerrie silence the gossip by jetting off on holiday together and taking a bunch of sweet Instagram photos.

May 2015 – Perrie admits the two haven't set a wedding date and explains she's fed up of people constantly asking her.

July 2015 - Zayn reveals that he's been signed to RCA as a solo artist, posting: "I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment, to be given the opportunity to show you who I really am! #realmusic".

August 2015 – Zayn calls off his engagement to Perrie, with her confirming the news to E! shortly afterwards, telling them: "I'm good".
