Chester Bennington of Linkin Park thinks the album they’re recording will polarise, and he’s happy about it.

The platinum tantrum-rockers have been in the studio recording the follow-up to last year’s worldwide chart-topper A Thousand Suns.

Singer Chester Bennington spoke UK metal mag Kerrang! about the process over the last two months and he’s happy that they’re pushing the boundaries.

The short version:
Mike and Brad are Friends since they were thirteen, they went to the same high school. Rob has been playing in the same band as Brad since junior high. Mike met Joe in College. Brad and Phoenix are roomates in UCLA. The guys had been sending out demos and instumentals and Jeff Blue, vice president of A&R at Zomba musique got hold of it one jour and send it to Chester who is in Arizona. Chester recorded his vocals and called the guys the suivant morning. He flew to California the suivant jour and the rest as they say is history.

Watching several YouTube vidéos of Linkin Park today, I realized that there is a lot of bitterness among the fans, and even though I respect how they feel, some things they say are driving me crazy.

As we all know, Linkin Park has changed their style of musique many times. They have evolved, to be frank. They started off as young men who were attracted par heavy music, and thus, they produced Hybrid Theory and released it. It was a huge success, yes. They performed well live, and they showed us that they are not letting fame get to their head. They were genuinely nice people with meaningful lyrics...
