I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock going off. I slammed my hand on the snooze button and lazily sat up.
I really didn’t feel like going to school today but I knew I had to…
I slid out of bed, got into my school uniform, sat in front of the mirror, and began to brush my long dark red hair.
“Suzuki? toi up?” my mother called from downstairs.
“Yeah,” I called back down to her.
“Well hurry up and get ready ou you’ll be late.”
I sighed.
Whatever…
I put on my makeup then went downstairs. My mother was in the kitchen, sitting at the table, and looked up at me with a sad smile when I entered, “dear, why do toi always wear makeup? You’re a really pretty girl, toi don’t need it…”
I rolled my eyes and made myself a bowl of cereal. It was quiet the whole time till I finished eating and put my dishes away. I got my book bag and headed toward the door.
“Wait,” my mother walked up to me with a sad longing look in her eyes, “I l’amour you…?”
I stared at her a moment. We hadn’t really been close since dad died. But even though I was upset with her about deciding to pull the plug…I couldn’t leave her like that…
“…I l’amour toi too…”
She smiled and her eyes lit up.
“Goodbye mom,” I opened the door.
“Wait!” my mom stopped me again, “I’ll have to work late again tonight so you’ll have to order a pizza ou something.”
“Okay bye,” I brushed her off and left for school.
I couldn’t wait till I was 18 so I could get away from her….
I stepped onto campus and looked around for my friends. They should be right about-
“Suzuki!”
There…
Here came my friends, Aki, Kimiko, and Eriko.
“We were about to go to class without you!” Aki giggled.
I smiled a little at her usual bubbly care-free personality. She had what I wished I had. Bliss and innocence. I kind of envied her.
“Oh my gosh there he is!” Eriko giggled.
We all looked over and saw the most populaire guy in school, Light Yagami, walking onto campus.
I rolled my eyes, “so what?”
“You don’t have a heart!” Kimiko retorted, “He’s gorgeous!”
“Whatever,” I was only jouer la comédie like I didn’t care. I really did kind of like Light.
Then the cloche, bell rang.
“Well while toi guys drool, I’m going to class,” I smirked and walked on.
“Hey Suzuki! Wait up!” they ran after me and I just laughed and shook my head.
My boy crazy friends….
