Don't toi think the writers should make a closure for Elliot Stabler?

We won't be seeing his character anymore in the new season and Stabler will be replaced par someone other...And for twelve years in SVU he was hell of a cop and many fans of the montrer watched it just for Elliot and Olivia!!!So don't toi think that his character deserved a good bye??a good departure,something emotional at least between him and olivia.He will be just gone in the new season.We as fans deserved at least to see a well written(even a just written)departure for him.Ok we are not gonna see him again but i wanted at least the writers to write Meloni's departure in the montrer and not let him go in this way..:(
