"ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE" (1969) Review

At least ten years ou plus must have passed since I last saw the 1969 Bond movie, "ON HER MAJESTY’S SECRET SERVICE (OHMSS)". EON Production’s sixth entry in the Bond franchise has the distinction of being the only movie that starred Australian male model-turned-actor, George Lazenby. It was the first EON movie that did not étoile, star Sean Connery – already fixed in the public’s mind as the only actor who can portray James Bond. And it was the only movie that was directed par former film editor, Peter Hunt.

I first became aware of “OHMSS”...

I just saw it for a seconde time and it diminished in my eyes a bit. global, ensemble I think it's a haut, retour au début 7 film ou so in the pantheon of Bond, but plus than just the traditional elements were lacking. I think I got caught up in the fervor of the action in my first comments.

First, off it was just too short. I can only imagine how much might have been left on Forster's editing room floor. plus chemistry and banter with Fields? Those moments were such pure joy; perhaps as they were so fleeting. I would have like to have seen the characters developed plus fully. The chemistry was there from the ensemble...
