Chapter 1:
“Hey, wait up. Why do toi always have to go so fast?”
Beth Davis was trying to keep up with her best friend Jack Frost. He always won. Every morning he raced her to the very haut, retour au début of a hill. It was his wake up call and he’s pompe up activity to get him going for the day.
Jack chuckled as he reached the haut, retour au début of the hill, waiting for his best friend Beth to catch up. Even with her powers, she was no match for him.
“And Jack wins again!” He gloated, twirling around and raising his fists.
Beth reached the haut, retour au début of the colline groaning while crossing her arms.
“This wasn’t a competition. toi do this every day. I am too tired to race toi today Jack.” Beth complained.
Jack laughed and nudged her.
“You’re just weak.” He taunted
Beth’s eyes turned to a deep, angry, sea blue. “I am not weak!” She shirked.
Water started to form in her hands, making the shape of a ball. She held it in her hands and threw the water ball into Jack’s direction. Jack ducked, as she continued to keep throwing water balls at his head.
“Woah, Ohkay! You’re not weak.” Jack yelled, through his laughter.
Beth smiled and made her water balls disappear. “That’s plus like it.” She smirked.
Beth Davis and Jack Frost were best Friends since as long as they could remember. They were the terrible two; they loved to play tricks and just have fun together. Jack Frost was a guardian, the guardian of fun. He brought lovely snow days to the children and watched over them with his life. Beth Davis was also not ordinary; she was a kind hearted, water spirit who also watched over the children of the world. She had powers that people could only dream about and she had the ability to create storms so fierce that it could kill millions. She would never do that though; she was timid, kind and often brought joy other than disasters.
“Well I better get going. Felicia didn’t have the best jour yesterday; I’m hoping she has a better jour today.” Beth sighed.
Jack blushed as he heard the name Felicia. Felicia was their main mortal who they watched over down on earth. They were both kinda like her guardian angels. The man in the moon told them to have a special eye on her, they don’t know why but they did as they were told. Jack had grown a very strong attachment to Felicia, even though she couldn’t see him.
He had watched her since she was basically six years old, and watched her grow into a woman. She was now turning 18, becoming an adult. He knew everything about her, and sometimes often wished he could have spent special moments that had happened in her life with her. He felt so close to her, but yet she had no idea who he was.
Beth nudged Jack, Jack almost fell face first into the new, freshly fallen snow that he had created that morning.
“Snap out of it. toi have your duties to do as well.” Beth laughed.
Jack got rose in the cheeks and held himself up. Beth shook her head and tried to control her laughter. She knew Jack had fancied Felicia for a long while, he just wouldn't necessarily admit it to her. Jack wasn't really someone who looked for love, he liked playing around with chicks but never really found the right one. He got his heartbroken a long time il y a from her friend Tooth and ever since then Jack didn't take relationships seriously, but she knew that with Felicia it was a bit different. He watched over her with caring eyes, and Beth knew that he secretly dreamed about being with her.
“Shut up. I’m just a bit tired today is all,” Jack grumbled.
Beth rolled her eyes as she charged her water energy. She was getting ready for the day, she had many children she had to watch over and Felicia was one of them. Since Beth and Jack were both sort of her guardian angels, they took turns. Last an Jack watched Felicia during the jour when Beth watched over her at night, but this an Beth was watching her through the jour and Jack was doing the night shifts.
“Well I’m off.” Beth beamed.
She looked over towards Jack who was scratching his head and biting his lip.
“Don’t worry; I’ll give toi the 411 on Felicia when I get back,” She giggled.
Jack gave her a frustrated look. How was it that she knew everything he was thinking? He didn’t like that she got into his mind.
She gave out a chuckle and flew off into the bright blue sky.
--
“ Sebastion! I am going to kill you.”
Beth flew over Felicia’s house and peeked from the roof. She spotted Felicia and her best friend Sebastion throwing snowballs at each other. She chuckled silently, watching the two.
“You’ll never defeat me!” Sebastion shouted.
Felicia threw a snowball after another, but no matter where she hit, it never landed on Sebastion. Sebastion was faster and much plus athletic than Felicia was. She wasn’t really someone who was rather skillful; in fact she was probably the clumsiest girl in the world.
“You’re so weak.” Sebastion taunted.
Felicia grabbed a bunch of snow in her hands and tried making the biggest snowball yet. In range she threw it at his head, but missed again.
“I am not weak!” She shouted.
Beth couldn’t help but laugh at the display in front of her. Indeed, Sebastion and Felicia almost reminded her too much of her and Jack at times.
She crept closer to the two and decided to help Felicia out. She got behind Felicia, and glanced over at the two. She took a deep breath and blew over a gush of wind over to Felicia. Her mouth was letting out puffs of wind, which lead Felicia’s snowballs reaching to Sebastion and directly hitting him in the face. Felicia felt the wind surrounding her, and she felt like she could almost fly.
“Hey, I’ll get toi for that.” Sebastion laughed.
Soon Felicia was doing much better and hitting Sebastion with many snowballs and she never missed. It was almost like something was controlling her. Sebastion fell to the ground in discuss. Felicia’s eyes widened and she started to twirl around, dancing in victory.
“You just got lucky.” Sebastion moaned,
sitting up and rubbing his head.
Beth couldn’t help but laugh and laugh. She loved the little display she had made, and loved to see Felicia so happy about winning something. She almost wished that she could rejoindre them in their little game but remembered that they couldn’t see her anyways, it sometimes made her a little depressed but that was the downside of being a guardian. toi can watch the fun, create the fun but couldn’t actually be a part of it. It sucked being ignored and knowing that they couldn’t see you.
“Why can’t toi just admit that I won this game, just this once?” Felicia sighed, while going walking over to him.
“Because I honestly can’t believe it,” He smirked.
Felicia hit him on the arm, annoyed. He laughed, stood up and brushed himself off.
“It was weird though...” Felicia whispered.
“What was?” Sebastion asked, overhearing her whispers.
Felicia thought for a moment and shook her head in confusement.
“I don’t know, it just felt like something was controlling me and did toi feel that wind? It came out of nowhere.” Felicia beamed.
Sebastion chuckled and rolled his eyes.
“I think you’ve been out in this cold for too long, come on let’s go get a nice cup of hot coco down at Petes. They just opened up for the season.” Sebastion suggested.
Felicia sighed, Sebastion never listened to her. It seemed like weird things were happening to her all the time, she couldn’t talk to anyone about it though, not even Sebastion believed her. She shrugged her shoulders and followed Sebastion , walking down the sidewalk. Beth followed them, silently.
“I really hope Bertha isn’t there.” Sebastion shuddered.
Felicia left out a hardy laugh. Bertha was a girl who was obsessed with Sebastion, she really had it bad for him. She was rather weird though and Sebastion just wasn’t into her. Sebastion was kind of a hard guy to get. It seemed like he wasn’t into girls, Felicia was beginning to think he was gay. He never showed any interest in any of the girls around here and when Felicia would ask if he had at least a crush on someone he would always reply with,
“I’m waiting for the right one Felicia,”
tWhatever that meant; Felicia couldn’t remember the last time he had dated someone. It wasn’t that he was ugly; he had girls drooling over him and hanging off of him all the time, but he simply didn’t give them the time of day.
“Maybe toi should give Bertha a chance.” Felicia suggested.
Sebastion stopped in his tracks and gave her a look as if she was retarded.
“Felicia, toi got to be kidding me.” He growled, covering his ears.
“Well, she can’t be that bad.” Felicia giggled.
Sebastion rolled his eyes and continued walking again.
“Felicia, if I ever were to fall for someone, trust me it wouldn’t be her.” He groaned.
Beth couldn’t help but overhear the conversation. She found herself being entranced par Sebastion’s hazel, green eyes. They were shimmering in the bright sun and the reflection of him bounced off of the Icy puddles. She saw Sebastion quite often, he was usually around Felicia. Beth caught herself staring at him a few times, she didn’t know why but something about the kid was absolutely mesmerising. She shook her head and put her gaze back at Felicia. tWhat was happening to her, she couldn’t let things distract her like this, what was so special about him anyways?
“Enough talk about my life with woman...” Sebastion grunted.
He then turned to his friend and looked at her pale face. Her long, brown hair was in a ponytail today and he could see that she was still a bit upset since yesterday.
Felicia wasn’t really having the best time lately; she had a big cœur, coeur and often was getting hurt. Felicia had a lot of l’amour to give and she was too trusting, she had gotten her cœur, coeur broken plus than once this year, and actually faced a terrible abusive situation where Sebastion basically had to get her out before it was too late. That was a an il y a though, but Felicia still struggled with it every day.
“Are toi feeling better today Felicia?” Sebastion asked, concerned.
Felicia forced a smile on her face. “Of course, I’m never better!”
Sebastion frowned; he knew this was a lie. Beth also felt sorrow flow through her veins. She was worried dearly about Felicia, and remembered the night that Felicia’s ex boyfriend had hit her. She had to freeze time to protect Felicia and she managed to get Sebastion to go to her house with a little bit of her magic. She left signs around his house, leaving him wondering what Felicia was doing, so he left to go to her house. Once Sebastion saw what was happening, he called the cops and got Felicia out of there. It was tragic times for Felicia.
Beth remembered whenever she told Jack what had happened. Jack went absolutely crazy and she had to basically hold Jack with all her might from Jack not going to kill the guy. Jack was Felicia’s Guardian before her so she knew Felicia meant a great deal to Jack, it felt almost as if Jack grew up with her. It was hard to be a guardian Angel at times; toi saw stuff toi really didn’t want to see.
Sebastion let out a huff and turned his head. He didn’t question her anymore, he knew it would just get her upset.
“Hey, were here! Look they are open!” Felicia exclaimed, running towards the coffee shop.
Sebastion smiled and ran after her, looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to a nice hot chocolate.
--
“She’s doing better today.” Beth smiled.
Beth was just getting accueil from a long days work of guarding the children of the world. The sun was now setting and it was turning into night.
“I still think we should have killed that guy,” Jack growled,
Jack could never get over the fact of the boy that had abused Felicia. He couldn’t imagine anyone every harming her, she was the sweetest girl he ever laid eyes on. That guy deserved to die, ou to at least feel pain at least. He didn’t really get into much trouble, just a warning from the cops and a charge, and to Jack that just wasn’t enough. Because of this guy Felicia kept having nightmares every night and basically lived her life in fear, Why shouldn’t he kill him?
Beth crossed her arms and blew her curly hair out of her face. “Jack don’t be so foolish, toi know we ain’t aloud-“
“I don’t give a shit....” Jack shouted.
“Jack hush, toi have duties toi need to attend to.” Beth sneered.
Jack blushed as he remembered that it was his nightly shift to watch Felicia. He got his staff ready and let out a sigh. He knew that he got carried away whenever it came to that subject of Felicia getting abused, but honestly did Beth blame him?
He walked over to Beth and put his hand on her shoulder. “Thanks for telling me that she’s doing better. I hope she has no nightmare tonight.” Jack slumped.
Beth put her hand on his shoulder and looked into his eyes and gave him a smile of encouragement. “I’m sure she will be fine.”
Jack gave her a faint smile. He then turned around and faced the moon. He closed his eyes and flew off into the night sky. Beth waved at him, yawning.
He flew and danced around in the wind until he reached Felicia’s window. He landed on her roof and peeped inside. There Felicia was, about to get into bed. He found himself flustered as she took off her clothes to put her pjs on, he looked the other way, trying to be respectful but he couldn’t help but peek a tad. She got into her covers and stared at the ceiling. Jack knew she did this mostly every night, she’d just lay there, looking at the ceiling and would think.
“Why, why me,” Felicia whispered.
Jack put his hands on the window, it started to frost. If only he could reach in and touch her , if only he could tell her everything was going to be alright. He gazed at her as she slowly closed her eyes. It was rather early of her to start going to sleep, but maybe she had a hard day. He knew Felicia wasn’t the type to fall asleep early; she was usually up all hours of the night.
He let out a sigh as he watched her breathing get heavier. Her long, brown locks of hair surrounding her pale, white face. Jack’s cœur, coeur started to beat rapidly. He didn’t know what this feeling was, but he knew it grew stronger in time. Could it be love? No of course not Jack Frost didn’t fall in love; it was something he was highly against. He looked up at Felicia’s once plus as she started to moan in her sleep. He looked down, flustered once more.
“Then why does she have this deep, effect on me...” He whispered.
Just then a sprinkle of or sand came falling onto his head; he turned around and saw Sandy behind him, crossing his arms and smiling at him.
“Oh salut Sandy,” Jack sighed.
Sandy sat beside him and looked into the window with Jack; they were both looking at Felicia. Sandy chuckled and nudged Jack. A million pictures came above his head, as he started to communicate with him.
Jack formed a fist and got red in the cheeks as he watched Sandy say some remarks of Felicia.
“No Sandy. She’s just a girl, she’s the first girl I ever watched over, my first mission, of course I’m attached to her but no, I don’t have feelings ou anything...” Jack mumbled.
Sandy rolled his eyes and started to communicate plus with Jack, through pictures above his head.
“No no, she’s pretty; I didn’t say she wasn’t...” Jack stuttered.
Sandy smiled, but seemed confused as a bunch of questions marks came above his head.
“The problem is I don’t fall in love, l’amour is stupid.” Jack grunted.
Sandy frowned and shook his head. Jack turned away from him; the truth was he was just scared of love. But he wasn’t going to tell anyone that, especially his fellow Guardian Sandy.
He watched as Sandy danced in the starry night and flew magic, or dust Felicia’s way. Jack saw Felicia’s upsetting face turn into a smile as she was now dreaming of happy thoughts. Jack smiled over at Sandy. Sandy gave a little wink and vanished.
Jack peeped into the window once plus and saw Felicia’s chest rise up and down. She was now in a deep sleep. He couldn’t help but stair at her, he felt himself diving deeper and deeper into her. Just then he Lost control of his balance and slipped over a rock, making a racket.
Felicia awoke suddenly and rushed to her window. Jack stood back alarmed, but then remembered that she couldn’t see him anyways. He watched as she put her hands up against the window. He slowly flew up to the window and put his hands up where hers were. He was now itches away from her face; the only thing in the way was the window. He wished so strongly that he could grab her hand.
Her eyes were beautiful, he never really saw them this up close before, they were big, deep brown and so beautiful. He continued to rest his hands on the window, hers touching his from the other end. If only she could see him.
Felicia kept looking out of her window, but she saw nothing there. She yawned and felt a tingling session in her hands. She could have sworn someone was touching them. She then watched in amazement as frost came from nowhere and started making beautiful patterns around her window. She smiled in delight and wonder. She then took her hand off of the window as she saw écriture appearing through the frosty patterns. It said
“Make me real.”
