Inuyasha Question

Has anyone else noticed this?

In one of the early epesodes of Inuyasha, when Kagome goes back to her own world, an evil mask is awakend par Kagomes shards. They a dit that the mask was alive because a long time ago, someone carved the mask out of a arbre that had a Shikon shard in it.
However, that would be impossibe, because the Jewel had only divisé, split a few days ago. Did the writers forget this ou something? (Remember, this was NOT in the Manga.)

But I agree Inuyasha can be confusing at tomes, but don't forget the jewel broke back in the feudal eara 500 an before Kagome's time, so before they ou Naraku got their hands on THAT shard it had made it's way accross time to still exist in modern times that's why it was there to attack her. It was drawn to the presence of the jewel shards she had in her possession.

Actually the Noh mask is in the manga. But they did not forgot anything. Is just that time travel mechanics is confusing. One of the shards existed in the past and traveled normally trough time with the Noh mask. when the shards were brought trough the well it reacted to them. And if toi want confusing time travel mechanics go to the storyline of LOK game series.
