House stood par the nurse's station in the empty clinic. It was late: way later than he'd normally stay, but he needed to see her.
Cuddy was sitting at her bureau putting the finishing touches on reports and what not.

House was finally released from Mayfield Mental Hospital. He had been there for three months. On the ride home, House had opened up to Wilson about what had happened with Lydia. He was letting a different side of himself show...a plus human side.
“What should I tell her?” House asked his best friend.
“Tell who?” Wilson replied with a hint of confusion in his voice.
“Cuddy.”
Wilson lowered his gaze.
“House, I don’t really know how to tell toi this…” Wilson began to chercher for the right words. House stared at him blankly. “Cuddy found someone.”
House couldn’t believe Wilson’s words. He and Cuddy had been so close. So close to a relationship. Who could’ve…
“Lucas.”
“Huh?” House didn’t quite understand what the younger doctor had said.
“Lucas. Cuddy’s dating Lucas.”
House’s face dropped.
Wilson’s cœur, coeur went out to his friend. He knew that House loved Cuddy. He went through Vicodin detox, an affair with a stranger, and now this.

Cuddy yawned. Even though it was only around 7pm, she was tired. She had been at the hospital for almost 12 hours. The clinic had closed tow hours ago, when most of the staff had left for the evening. House bounced his cane off the tiled floor. He took a deep breath and contemplated on walking toward Cuddy’s office.
House saw Cuddy jump. He guessed her phone must’ve rung because she grabbed her bourse, sac à main and began shuffling through it. Cuddy smiled as she answered her Blackberry. House knew who it must be. He felt a twinge of jealousy run down his spine.

Greg had seen Lisa around campus a few times. She was just an undergrad, but for some reason he couldn’t explain, she caught his attention. He knew Lisa had a crush on him. Everyone knew Lisa had a crush on him. But what girl didn’t? Greg was extremely attractive. He was 6’2” and quite the athlete. He had brains; he just chose not to use them to their full potential. He was perfect.
Saturday was the night of the big game: Michigan v. Ohio State.
His roommate convinced him to help set up their off-campus apartment for a party they planned for after the game. They had it all planed out. If Michigan won, they were gonna party hard. If Ohio State won, God forbid, they were just going to riot through the streets, catching things on fire.
Thankfully for everyone in Ann Arbor, Michigan won.
Lisa had heard that there was to be a party at Greg House’s place after the game. She defiantly wanted to go. Greg was a legend not only for his academic skill, but also for the parties he threw.
The musique was blaring. The alcohol was flowing. The neon lights were blinding. The air was filled with smoke from whatever people had decided that they were going to try and smoke.
Lisa had been drinking pop when she first arrived, but she soon switched to something stronger.
Greg had a flock of girls around him, laughing at whatever he said, and trying to catch his eye with their flirting and skimpy clothing. Lisa looked down at her own outfit. Nothing special. A v-neck and a mini-skirt. She was thinking about taking her painful heels off soon.
Even though Greg wasn’t hers, Lisa felt angry at the sight of all the girls surrounding him. She had never felt so jealous before.
‘Must be the alcohol,’ she thought.
Lisa never let her gaze leave Greg. Soon, Greg felt her stare and looked up. His eyes met hers and neither could look away. His eyes softened and he smiled at her.
