What was the very first horror movie toi remember watching?

In the late 70's a friend and I watched something called Blue Sunshine. It was about really bad acid that turned its users into balding, bugged-eyed maniacal killers. I forgot how exactly they killed their victims. It was a stupid movie, but there was sheer joy in telling our other Friends that we saw an R rated movie!

The First Horror movie I saw was the Beginning of Jaws, when the girl is killed par the Shark..! I couldn't watch the rest of the movie!
But a few years later I saw "A Nightmre on Elm Street" and I LOVED it!
