I'm sorry for this rant but, I am getting so annoyed with this and I've been seeing it literally EVERY WHERE!! I also would like to apologize in advance for any problems caused with this... I was very pissed off when I typed this and I may have let my anger do most of the talking...
Lately, I've seen quite a lot of people romanticize the Revolutionary War and treating it like some "horrible breakup between boyfriends." People saying that America left England all alone and didn't understand how England felt. I don't honestly care because it pisses me off too much to go on about it. Listen, America was FULLY aware of how England felt. Do toi realize this man was fighting for his independence? Do toi realize how many people died for the sake of freedom? The Revolutionary War is what the name implies. A REVOLUTION. A WAR. Stop romanticizing the Revolutionary War with this pairing. This is one of things I hate about the UsUk fandom. They constantly romanticize the Revolutionary War and treat it like some "bad breakup between boyfriends." Quit romanticizing war with your pairing. Quit romanticizing war in general because of your ships. I understand toi l’amour your ship and whatever but, seriously, respect the Revolutionary War and stop treating it like some bad breakup. America was fighting for freedom, for himself and his people. Stop disrespecting history and treat it with respect. I swear to god, as an American who is very grateful for the freedom we can all experience today I find this EXTREMELY offensive. It pisses me off that this fandom has no respect for history because all it cares about is their pathetic ships. This is why I hate shipping in Hetalia. All some fans seem to do is romanticize war because of their ships.
All in all...
Stop romanticizing war!! It isn't funny. It isn't cute. It's not full of feels. It's serious. Respect it. People died. You're being disgusting and disrespectful. For the l’amour of fruking god, stop it! Stop romanticizing war because of your ships!! -sigh- Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drown myself in boiling hot tea. Enjoy your jour and take care.
