Your thoughts on Season 5?

Well, so far I find the new season interesting. The new animation is beautiful and... I don't get why so many fans are disappointed par it. I mean, just because the art changed doesn't mean that the whole animé did. Hetalia is still the same as before. In fact, I've noticed that some details about the characters' appearances which were mentioned in the manga were ignored in the last seasons (Ex: England's hair colour in the manga is pale blond, but in the last four seasons it was coloured yellow blond) and when toi think about it, the new art is plus similar to Himaruya's original art than the old one. I get that some fans prefer the old art, and admittedly I miss it too, but I don't think we need to start uproar over it. Overall, I believe that the new season is fine.

-France episode
-5 minute show
-Some fun episodes

Things I hate about season 5
-The opening
-The ending
-Bad episodes (EX: The first episode)
-THAT ENDING (yeah I'm with toi I hate it too)

global, ensemble season 5 is 'good' There are bad things about it but there are good things about it as well.

Well, I agree that it's not as good as the other seasons. But we all have to put in mind that it's the same as other book series and movies. When they make sequels and stuff, it isn't as good as the the first edition. I don't mind it being not as good though because it's just another weekly dose of Hetalia! I'm just happy they included Mochitalia but I miss the funny narrator woman.

I was very disappointed with it season 5. For starters I miss the old animation, I'm emotionally attached to the old Hetalia animation so to speak(but I think the new animation is fancy though and I like some of the story lines). seconde of all, I feel like they only did season 5 for yaoi fans and fan service in general (I don't have anything against yaoi If toi like that's perfectly fine and okay) But, what they were doing with Italy and Germany made me feel like the bond between Japon and both of them were broken (I ship them platonically really hard). My final reason they're drifting away from being historical. Hetalia was a really funny take on history and now they're doing your average everyday thing. Disappointing. I have to do average everyday things... well, everyday. That's how I feel about the whole thing but if their doing anymore episodes then I hope their like the classics. But I highly doubt anything is going to change anytime soon.
