Ever since One Direction confirmed that they are to take a break after album number five, rumours concerning what the boys will do next have been flying about like a bunch of hyperactive wasps. Watch out - they sting.

Unsurprisingly, many of the tabloids have focused on Harry Styles - claiming that he\'s already in talks to sign a solo deal with Sony, despite the fact that 1D are still very much a thing, and have new music on the way to our eagerly awaiting eardrums.

Why such publications insist on implying that there\'s only one member of the band we will never know, but let\'s move on before we go off on a 5,000 word rant, shall we?

A 1D rep has responded to the solo career plans, denying that any member is working on independent projects or deals right now.

"No discussions about solo deals are happening with any members of One Direction currently.," said the rep. "Sony are fully committed to all of One Direction and are looking forward to the release of the group\'s new album."

Said new album looks set to be a goodie too - with producer Julian Bunetta revealing that it\'s a little more \'sexually charged\' than their previous work.
