I think care of magical creatures is quite handy, divination is just make-believe

well i dont really know which is more useless but i picked divination but trelawney was the 1 who made the prophecy so she is a little important

i suppose it depends what you want to do, but i don't see how divination could ever be useful. unless you wanted to be a seer.

^^ I totally agree with that. Personally I love animals and I want to be a zoologist, so I would love care of magical creatures, but it isn't really useful to everybody. Divination, in my opinion, is a load of crap. I don't really think it's something that you can learn anyway.

I think both would have seemed more useful if either had been taugh by competent teachers in the books. I picked divination because I assume being psychic isn't something you can just learn in the Harry Potter universe, or everyone would be psychic, so since it's only something that can be fully learned by a select few it's not really a usefull lesson to give to everyone. Even if you enjoy it unless you happen to be born psychic it's more interesting than actually useful.

Care of Magical Creatures is definitely an important lesson! how else would we know anything about magical creatures? divination is useless because only like, 1 out of 40 people have "the gift", and why would you teach a whole class about something almost none of them can do or ever use?

Divination is only useful if you have the gift.
Care of Magical Creatures is good if you are going to have magical creatures, or live near magical creatures!

Such a stupid subject and most useless IMO.
